I'm already forgetting a lot of this, but it started somewhere in trying to find a movie theater I was supposed to be going to with my randomly dream created friends. I'd gotten separated from them and was trying to find them again in an area like an outdoor shopping mall. It was starting to get dark as I neared the movie theater itself, and then something huge and flaming crashed down from out of the sky. Logic didn''t handle this very well, I'm not exactly sure where the thing landed but I do know it killed a lot of people in the shopping area. Also it seemed this death-from-space was a preliminary attack for aliens invading, but the dream plot didn't really do anything with that detail and I never saw the aliens (as if they stayed in orbit waiting).

I survived, and saw that the people who were left seemed to be turning into zombies. Some of them actually looked like zombies while others were normal looking people acting all "Braaaains"-ish without actually going far enough into cheesy horror tropes to say that. They also didn't talk, whereas the few non-zombie survivors were pretty much screaming their heads off (and making nice targets for getting eaten with all that noise).

Some of the dream seemed to happen out of order, and I also woke up in the middle of it and went back to sleep, straight into the same dream though it seemed to have backed up some. I am fairly sure that before I woke up the first time, I and a couple of guys who were possible military types managed to secure an old mansion and created a home base in the basement. There was a radio broadcast that helped me find them, one that was dangerous to produce but they did it every day just in case there were more survivors. It would also seem that the meteorite and zombie infection thing was more widespread than just our area.

There was also a kid who was maybe fifteenish at the most who had holed up in his family's van down by the beach, and had no idea anyone had survived that was not a zombie. I had his point of view for a little bit. There was a character who was basically Hurley from ABC's Lost who drove around looking for survivors during the daytime, and missed the kid because he hid thinking everyone was dangerous.

Meanwhile, one of the military-esque guys and I were going to go do the daily radio broadcast and I think that was the point where I woke up. Back to sleep again, and the plot had returned to previous to actually gaining the house stronghold (which sucked, that was a nice place and had taken some work). So we had to do that again, and it was noticeable now that there was nobody around on the surface during the day. Apparently the zombies didn't like sun (heh my subconscious was ripping off I Am Legend and this logic-broken version is still better than that POS Will Smith movie xP ).

We were trying to actually locate the mansion, a lot of the city and surrounding town was wrecked and a mess and we were still careful of zombies whether there were any showing or not. We ended up underground for some reason, I think raiding a weapons stash the guy with me knew was there, and we found a zombie lady who didn't actually try and kill us. She could talk, and I think we might have asked her if there was any way she could help us, if she wanted to, maybe like by spying on the zombies or something. She wasn't really sure what she could do but she wandered off to try.

My point of view switched to Hurley who was back out at the beach a second time, and he saw the kid who tried to run away. But Hurley convinced him via the usual overly-honest humor that he wasn't a zombie and told him about the rest of us and the hideout we were going to make, and that it was going to be much safer there. So the kid hopped in whatever vehicle it was Hurley had and they drove off.

Then I woke up.

(This was actually from several days ago... and I apparently didn't save the chat log I had hoped to use to remember more bits, but oh well.)

I had Riddick's baby, but Riddick didn't seem to be around. The dream started after the giving-birth part. The baby had normal eyes and as a newborn was already trying to keep its head up without help; I noticed because I was holding the baby upright and making sure to help with the head thing and it was like... okay wow, baby is strong! (Or stubborn.) Anyways, it was a girl, but I don't remember any name for it.

Then I knew, somehow, that Riddick was dead. And it didn't bother me at all. WTF. It was just like "okay, plot point, moving on." I also knew that aliens were supposedly coming to check on this baby at some point... a sort of friendly hello / checkup /whatever. (Did I mention this dream makes no sense? More so than normal...)

The next part I remember, it was past sunset on a beach and getting quite dark, and there were a lot of teenagers goofing off in the water. I was worried about them because the current was really strong and they didn't seem to be paying attention. Then there was suddenly this long metallic leg thing that went into the water, and I looked up and saw a big spindly metal creature with a small top bit that had a blue light coming out of it. The light was finely-focused, and it seemed to be looking around with it.

Well I figured this was one of the aliens that was supposed to come see how the baby was doing. I waved at the light as it went by me but it didn't seem to care. I was just kinda going, "Oh... that's odd..." and didn't really care either, sorta watching it. Then I got a bad feeling that maybe this was an evil alien, and it was actually here for the baby for some reason and just hadn't figured that out yet.

So I started walking off down the beach away from the alien and the other people as well. Then the blue light fixed on me and I knew this wasn't good. I ran as fast as I could but something happened and I fell forward. I was so worried I'd hurt the baby, but it seemed to be okay beyond crying. I couldn't really move, like I'd been stunned or shocked by the alien. Then the baby was gone, just gone, and I knew the alien had taken her. The alien was gone too.

There was a nondescript structure nearby and someone was hiding in the shadows next to it, some Hispanic teenager. Somehow I knew he had something to do with all this, that he was one of the bad guys. I started beating him up to get information out of him, I was so upset about losing the baby. Then some of the other people from down the beach started coming over to see what had happened, see if I was alright. I told the guy to stay in the shadows because I wasn't finished with him yet, then tried to go tell the people I was okay or something.

He didn't stay put, coming out where people could see he was all banged up. They were like, "Uh, what's going on?" He finally confessed that he had something to do with this, but all he knew was there were clues hidden back at my and Riddick's house. He said he'd show me where. I think I knew a couple of the people on the beach, but they were just kinda random dream-made friends. We went back to my house (random house of dream illogic) and the guy showed us a corner and said it was under the floorboards.

By this time it seems like I'd kinda forgotten about being upset over the baby. (Sort of like not caring about Riddick being dead??) We pulled up the floorboards without any delay and started pulling things out from a small hidden area that was probably a good 4 feet deep but not very wide. One bag that came out of a decent size, someone said was diamonds. That went nowhere, apparently... it just got set aside and the dream forgot about it. We were, after all, looking for clues, but WTF. xD

There were a bunch of screwdrivers, little ones, that were supposedly a puzzle. If we could solve it, we'd know more about the grander mystery. Again, logic failed and we also failed the puzzle just as badly. Meanwhile the evil teenager kid is just sorta sitting around and I really don't remember caring about the fact that he was there or what he did anymore. (Also, at this point, it seems like we were going through not Riddick's, but Vin Diesel's stuff, and I hadn't had his baby and I didn't know him and it was Vin's house... but yeah poor Vin was still dead. GAH.) Then I found some ziplock bags in the bottom of the hidden space that had what looked like SD cards in them (the little digital camera data storage cards). I figured there was probably data we could pull off them, something that would explain hopefully at least in part what was going on.

Then I woke up.
tirsdendreams: (unknown danger)
I was a preteen-ish girl in a generic family at first (nobody I know in real life). A mother, father, me, an older brother maybe, an older sister or two; all of us were wearing bathing suits and it was night time. We were walking home from the beach, along a wooden pathway running between some wooden beach buildings into a more forested area. As we got to an intersection of these walkways, it was suddenly very dark on the part where I and my mother and one sister were. It was almost like literally inky black, while the rest of the area was more well-lit.

We had been discussing self defense and the concept of bad guys assaulting people. Suddenly I started screaming like I knew there were bad guys in the darkness trying to get us. Dream logic was failing (worse) at this point, as it was almost like I was trying to make there be bad guys there, and then they were there trying to drag us off the walkways into a bit of swampy stuff below. We couldn't see who the attackers were, it was too dark. I also remember being scared once the enemies were actually real. They were trying to kidnap us! We were the president's family, the dream suddenly decided, and somebody was trying to take us away!

Then my father, yes, now President Obama, came to help us out of the dark stuff, as if he could pull us up out of it... which... worked. The bad guys no longer existed, and it was as if I'd done something goofy and just freaked everybody out in the process. (Technically, that's exactly what happened, but wtf dream logic faaail!) We were safe and everything was fine, yet I remember wondering where the Secret Service was, because they weren't around us or anywhere in sight. My father was leading the lot of us and a little ways ahead.

There was now another man walking along with us, and a boy with him that the man said he knew. I didn't know either of them. I had a branch of holly in my hand (and I have no idea where it came from now) and decided to go up to talk to my father. I was carrying on like a brat, whining about the holly because I'd lost some of it, plus it was hurting my fingers, but I wanted to know if he'd get me some more. And then I whispered really quietly, "He knows." I think this was some bizarre half-plot idea that the dream dropped as soon as it thought of it, as if the stranger guy had something to do with a conspiracy against my father. Like, Obama was going incognito or hiding out or something. But then it was back to "Wah! I want holly!" and wondering where the Secret Service was. They still hadn't shown up.

Then I woke up.

tirsdendreams: (redefinition of me)
The entire first part of this dream was total crap and shall thus be ignored, but eventually I looked out a window in my mother's house (random dream house) and saw that a huge storm had approached, including several funnel clouds. I said something to her as she was elsewhere in the house about it, and how we were all in danger, and she said something about everybody getting to a safe spot in the house. And I was staring at this huge dark underside of the cloud and realizing how outlandish the whole thing was... and then said, "No, it's okay, this is a dream." She kept saying we needed to get safe, and I ignored her and climbed out the window.

I decided I was Riddick, and I had to find Stefan (the alternate universe 17-year-old version of Lord Recluse from City Of Villains that a friend of mine roleplays ♥ ). Stefan was out here somewhere and I had to find him. I kept calling out his name and running along the grass of a very large field that pretty much seemed to stretch to the horizon, except for maybe a forest somewhere to what felt like the west. It was a bit hazy out now, and I don't remember being worried about the weather anymore. I had too many clothes on for Riddick, technically, and I knew that was left over from the previous parts of the dream. I didn't care, I took some of it off (like a jacket) and threw it away and kept shouting and running. The problem now was that being lucid, I was too close to awake. I did wake up partly, and lost the dream, though I tried hard to get back to it or remember that I was trying to find Stefan should I enter a different dream.

I did the latter, managing to enter the next dream as Riddick properly (that's probably a first), and kept remembering what I had to do. I was now beside a house near a short cliff that led to a stream that emptied into the ocean; it was overcast. The beach wasn't one of those white-sand ones, more like... grey sand and a few scraggly plants. I kept looking for Stefan, going down a trail along the cliffside, but then I heard him call to me. He was back up the trail somewhere, up in the yard of the house? I called back, "Where are you?" and he said, "In the gazebo."

I went back up the trail and was worried I wouldn't see such a thing (as I didn't remember it being there before and I still partly knew this was a dream). But there it was, across the yard closer to the ocean. There were people in it, but as I approached I noticed it was two or three teenage girls, and the gazebo changed into some weird kind of similarly-shaped building made of metal with huge glass windows on my side, and an elevator inside. The girl closest to me was Asian and said something I don't remember anymore, and I decided the elevator was my best shot for finding Stefan.

I got in, and it seems like I knew this was a place I wasn't really allowed to go. I remember the controls only seemed to have one button (1st floor, which was where we were??). I was lost as to what to do for a moment, then a couple guys in suits with briefcases got in and used a key to start the elevator. I sorta just stood there like "yeah I'm supposed to be here, duh" and the elevator went down into the ground.

The floor I got off on opened into a cafeteria, and people were serving pizza there. I remember my real-life allergies suddenly seemed like an issue (poor Riddick ^^; ) and then I decided, what the heck, I'd eat some. I had no idea where Stefan was and I was hungry. (Dream logic was also sorta failing badly by this point.) There were other people getting a slice too, and the servers had said it was free because they'd made it and some gathering had canceled and they weren't going to waste it.

I sat down on a bench beside a wall near the food line and suddenly Stefan was there too! Right beside me. I was glad to have found him even if it didn't make much sense, and since we were right by the food, he got a slice too at my urging. I said we should eat before anything else happened as it seems like it'd been ages since we'd had any proper sort of meal. We sat together on the bench eating and I think I asked him what was going on or if he was okay.

Then I woke up.

I started as myself. I think my kid brother and some random child were playing with toys that were a mix of Union-side civil war soldiers and feudal Japanese samurai, ninjas, that sort of thing. The Union soldiers were the good guys and the Japanese were the evil side. I commented on the strangeness of the battle mix, finding it nonsensicle but amusing.

Then the battle was real and I was in the thick of it. I think I was some sort of female, high-ranking officer (or at times, a generic soldier) on the Union side, and we were trying to hold a much-blasted fort on a beach. The sky was overcast but for the moment it was daytime. We were doing pretty badly, and it seemed like reinforcements were coming on the bad guy side. Not only that, but the Japanese were allied with Nazis... the Japanese were just the first wave. There was a general feeling in the air that we were so very screwed, especially if we couldn't last through this first wave.

By nightfall things had gotten so bad we were literally split up into single-combat against the invading force who were very much inside the fort walls now. I defeated my opponent but didn't kill him, and apparently he was someone important because all the other bad guys stopped fighting and watched. I told them all to leave, and they did, and then more samurai showed up. A bunch of the other guys on my side were freaking out, thinking this was yet more battle and we were so trashed the odds were very good this was it for us.

I was watching carefully and I realized as these guys marched right into our fort that they were a gift from the guy I'd defeated. How nice! They were here to fight for us, and it seemed like the other people we'd been fighting had withdrawn completely. The new samurai would answer to me, apparently, but just then we saw in the distance, far up the beach, what was surely a Nazi landing party. A lot of lights... gods, they had brought vehicles of some type. Samurai presents or not, we were so far outdated and outclassed, this wasn't going to work. (This sounds like an episode of the Twilight Zone or Outer Limits or something lol.)

The initial front of Nazi troops looked like it was going to be scouts on motorcycles. Since they were still far off, we decided... to hide? Dream logic decided there was no more fort, troops besides me, and the samurai squad became a bunch of non-armored asian people, like a small family. At least I was still a soldier but, seriously, what the hell? Alright, so yes, we're definitely opting for "hide" at this point. Except we're in the middle of a very large beach... yay, lots of damp, grey sand. At least there is apparently a large amount of fabric (randomly) and so we hide under it and try not to move.

I'm thinking the pattern on the fabric (a lot of white and colors) is going to still be waaay too obvious... plus, one of the people under this thing is a little girl who's scared and making too much noise. I start singing very softly, someting totally random and wordless. This works, so now it's just me singing softly and for now, the Nazis on the loud motorcycles won't hear it.

Dream logic may have had some go by us, and then... reversed things... so the bad guys were again far away. Meanwhile the other adults under the fabric moved around a lot for some reason. After they stilled again, I remember looking up from under the fabric, thinking this is such a very bad idea and noticing that the motorcycle headlights were still really far away, and not coming nearly as fast as I'd thought. And then I realized the only people left under the thing were myself and the little girl. The nerve of those others, leaving us behind like that! Especially the kid. That's so low I can't even...

Anyways, at this point I figure it's time to bail. I pick the girl up and carry her piggy-back style as fast as I can towards the non-sand which seems still too far away but we make it. This area has a lot of grass, some random thin, branchy logs, and very little brush that would be so very nice for cover at this point. So I'm obviously still not happy with the situation, and I'm trying to keep down enough that I'm almost crawling sometimes, using my hands to speed my progress along as I run as fast as I can considering the conditions.

There are random single-motorcycle patrols here. I avoid them for a few minutes but one finally finds me. I... think the guy asks me something? I'm not even sure we speak the same language. (Memory of this encounter is fuzzy.) I think he told me to stay put, that he was going to go get some sort of commanding officer. Oh. Right. Sure, I'll sit here really nice. Yeah, this girl here, and me, we're just scared (and stupid) and sure mister! As soon as he's far enough away I'm running with the kid on my back again.

Then I woke up.
tirsdendreams: (redefinition of me)
(Definitely inspired by reading Ultimate X-Men v.1 yesterday, this dream starts out rather more boring than the title implies but gets more interesting later.)

I was my real self at a Wal-Mart waiting in line at the entertainment department checkout. There was someone ahead of me and they were taking forever. There were at least two guys behind me as well. Someone had managed to find two chairs and they looked as if a lot of people waiting in line had used them that day. They were in the first and second person-waiting-in-line positions and the line was kinda spread out anyways, the store wasn't busy in our area except for those of us waiting in line. So I sat on the chair by my position and waited. I was buying a scanner that was on sale for $20 and I had some other stuff I'd set on a nearby shelf.

As I was waiting I realized I didn't have enough money to get all this plus Sims 2 which I was going to get in a couple days (this reflects real-life plans to get that game) so I just sorta left the extra stuff on the shelf and still sat there waiting since I was gonna buy the scanner regardless. (It was pretty much the same one my parental units got me for xmas but apparently my dream had forgotten about that.)

I was quite bored and looked over at the counter. The cashier was gone for some reason, but so was the person ahead of me in line. I moved up to the counter and set the scanner box on it. Suddenly there was shouting and an explosion from somewhere beyond the department, but close enough that it sent stuff around us flying. The other guys scattered and I found myself surrounded by a dozen rifle-armed black ops specialists, every muzzle pointed at my head. (At this point the dream logic decided I was an X-Men-style mutant and these guys were something similar to Weapon-X enforcers from the Ultimate X-Men comic book series.)

I thought at first they wanted to capture me but it turns out they were just going to kill me. I moved lightning fast and kicked up at the muzzles, spinning in a full circle. Now they weren't pointed at me but at random angles, and several of the bad guys fired as a reflex to my attack, hitting their buddies instead of me. The rest were easy enough to take care of quickly and I glanced around fast to see there wasn't anyone standing near me. I grabbed my scanner box (hey, a good scanner is a good scanner and the store was going to hell in a handbasket) and tucked it under one arm, heading for the main doors. On the way there I spotted another mutant (she looked like Ultimate X-Men Storm) and told her to follow me. As I ran out the front doors I noticed candy stands by the registers there and yelled at her to grab a candy bar, "Hell, grab a whole ****ing handful, we're going to need them."

She did and followed me out to the parking lot, looking a bit like a deer in headlights. (My character changed somewhere around this point, becoming male, sort of a punk, younger version of Wolverine.) As we're running across the parking lot I say, "Okay, where'd I put the Jag." (This was in part a vague realization I was dreaming, but only enough to seed an idea into the dream... it beat stealing a car.) I found it quickly after saying that, it was completely black and oldschool-meets-ultramodern (special edition?). I grabbed the keys out of my pocket and unlocked the door with the remote. I threw the scanner in the back and the girl got in the passenger side.

Pretty soon we were speeding down streets and away from the main area of town. The girl was worried that the cops must be after us, and I said "Oh they definitely are." Nobody was giving chase behind us at the moment, so the girl asked me how I knew for sure. "I can hear them, I pick up radio frequencies when I want to... and sometimes when I don't want to." (This was another semi-lucidly seeded idea, the whole time I don't remember hearing any radio but the dream logic didn't seem to care.)

Then there were two cars ahead of us driving directly at us through oncoming traffic. I swerved to miss them and ended up going down the embankment on the road we were now on, a small highway in a forested area. I kept the car running along the embankment but steering was sluggish and I couldn't seem to work the car back up to the road. The last thing I needed was for the cops to show up now, so I stopped the car and got out, telling the girl to stay put. "What are you going to do?" she asked fearfully, and I answered, "Use my other talent." I dragged the car back up to the road with inhuman strength and hopped back in the driver's seat. Vroooooooooooooooom!

The rest of the dream changed dramatically and made a lot less sense. I became the girl character, who was now white with blonde hair done up very prim (think Jane from A&E's Pride & Prejudice), and the other character was even more like Wolverine now, closer to the correct age for the movies and how he looks in Ultimate X-Men. We'd made serious tracks and were taking a break on a northeast-coast beach that was apparently a memorable spot to the guy character. Let's call him Logan (Wolverine's real name) cuz I think that's really who he was supposed to be at this point.

I was wading in ankle-deep water and talking to Logan about random things and it was obvious we'd fallen in love. A fog was creeping in and tendrils of mist curled towards the shore. Then a rather thick, smaller bank of fog rolled in, moving towards me. Eerily I noted that it seemed almost sentient as it moved straight for me. It covered my feet and moved up over my body, engulfing me. I passed out, falling into the water, and had a vision of a woman who looked at me out of the fog, at first suspicious but then she smiled and turned and left. I woke up a moment later in Logan's worried arms, and I told him what I'd seen. He said he used to come to this beach with his wife before she died, and it must have been her spirit. I still felt a little dizzy and he helped me walk back to the sand.

Then I woke up.
tirsdendreams: (cray-zee)
I was a random male hero-type character in a setting similar to Pirates of the Caribbean. There was a battle against undead pirates and we won. The second time was coming up and we knew it, so I was trying to set up all the people who could help in the battle. The first battle had been at sea (which I don't remember enough of to make sense of, like any of the rest makes sense lol). For some reason we were now setting up on land inside what would have been a theater with a stage except where the stage would have been there was a thick curtain and beyond that was a narrow beach and the ocean. The curtain was open at the beginning of setup but we closed it so the enemy couldn't see us setting up. It had been daylight during the initial battle but the sun was now setting... we feared the enemy would be much stronger at night and would surely attack again soon.

There were three areas of the theater seats and they were separated by walls. I was trying to go back and forth between the areas to better organize the upcoming battle. It seemed that someone else was spreading misinformation and screwing up my plans and people weren't where they were supposed to be. Yeah, someone was definitely undermining me. There were two people in charge of two of the areas and I was in charge of the left-most section (when facing the curtain). I had a lot of trouble finding the other two people. I gave up on the other two sections because things were so bad and I knew an attack was imminent. We were on an island... it's not like the people had anywhere to run, yet they seemed vaguely disinterested in fighting, even though the pirates were interested only in killing everyone and there was no chance of them taking prisoners.

I went back to my section to find it in complete disarray. Some people were leaving and it was obvious whoever was spreading bad info had been here as well. It almost seemed like I'd have to fight most of this battle myself as everyone else looked clueless or scared enough to run for it whenever the undead pirates finally showed up. I saw a man in the crowd who looked like a cross between Will Turner and Westley from The Princess Bride. He was closer to the back of the seats and with a woman who I guessed must be his wife.

I felt bad about splitting them up, like they were there together so that they wouldn't be split up and he could protect her, but I knew this guy looked like a real fighter. He was exactly what I needed to get the edge on this battle. I told him to come with me and told his wife to stay in the back and away from the fighting. She didn't look too confident in this idea but the guy followed me and we went towards the curtain. I said to him, "Stay near me."

I hadn't planned on going past the curtain, I was going to make one last attempt to regain order among the other people but the dude with me said he had a hunch and felt it very imporant we go beyond the curtain. He took me past the curtain and there was nothing around, just moonlight water and sand. It was much calmer out here than back with all those people. It was also obvious that there weren't any bad guys around yet, but there was a dark, sinister feeling in the air and I knew whatever it was we were supposed to be discovering had better happen quickly.

Then I woke up.

I'm Lost

Oct. 12th, 2006 03:20 am
tirsdendreams: (lost and alone)
I dreamed I was part of the main group of crash survivors in the television show Lost. I've since forgotten the first half of the dream but I think it may have included the initial plane crash or at least the following chaos. I was some sort of adult female character (not myself), perhaps with military background because I knew how to survive in the wild and was more confident in that environment than most of the others. I was also very physically fit. (Yeah, definitely not my real self lol.)

I remember at some point the Others arrived and started capturing and/or killing everyone. It had something to do with an outbreak of the disease that is rumored on the show but yet to affect anyone in the main cast (that I remember). This was on the beach. Those who were close enough to the trees ran into the jungle, and it was everyone-for-themselves. I was the furthest ahead and before long the only one they hadn't caught. I reached the edge of a swamp that I knew probably had gators in it but I hoped I'd get lucky and waded right in as fast as I could. There was dry land on the other side.

Half way across the swamp water there were several gators very close to me but I sort of ignored them hoping they'd feel I wasn't afraid of them and they'd ignore me. One of them rushed me but lost interest before it reached me; they all went back to their lazy gatory business. Not only was I thrilled to live all the way to dry land but I'd done something the Others hadn't expected. I had a little time, they wouldn't think I'd be crazy enough to cross the swamp until they couldn't find me anywhere else.

I found some sort of outpost manned by one of the Others, but this person didn't know that there was a supposed outbreak of the disease. It's like she had been at her station for so long without contact that she had no clue what was going on, maybe even how weird the rest of the Others were getting. The place she was hidden in was a small white cement-brick building with a bunch of plants around it, down in a hollow area below the surrounding jungle floor. I found it only because there was a microphone or similar device hooked up to a plant in the jungle and I followed the wire to the building.

The woman came out of the building just as I reached it. She was wearing a white lab coat and looked kinda surprised to see me but not concerned. She said she was just going to make her report to her higher-ups. I tried to tell her that crazy things were going on and we needed to run away or hide. I figured the rest of the Others would probably kill this lady as well as me... she seemed to be clueless to their plans, and not evil like them.

Then I woke up.
