(This is apparently what happens after I spend 3+ hours on Skype talking to someone I met via Cry's video game livestreams, before going to bed. That someone would be Hiro, who you will be seeing here shortly. O.o )

I was playing some kind of coop multiplayer Amnesia-like game with Hiro via both the game client and chatting with Skype, except that instead of normal Amnesia: The Dark Descent with its medieval castle interior, the concept was to run around a modern day mental hospital plagued with monsters (the zombie ones from the Amnesia game) and avoid being caught by them or the regular staff while looking for books. Hiro's character was an Asian boy in his early teens and I was a girl with long-ish blonde hair; I think I'd gone with Alice for my character's name.

The building's layout was bizarre for an actual hospital. Hallways were ridiculously skinny, had maze-like branches all over the place and interconnected rooms, and you couldn't do anything about the lights that were always on. Everything was painted white, so there was no real chance of hiding anywhere in the open. Not only would the monsters cause you to pass out if they caught you, but doctors and nurses also wandered the hall and any of them including the monsters catching you meant waking back up in your room. I can't remember if the rooms were locked by default, I just remember it being so much backtracking that you didn't want to get caught, plus there was a feeling of impending doom like something bad was going to happen if you couldn't escape the place in time.

The point of the books was that they somehow unlocked doors. The books were hardcover, red, and had gold filigree designs on the covers that were all the same. If I remember right, they all had a four digit number on the first page while the rest of the pages were blank, which had to do with how they opened the doors. Some books were fakes and only the right ones would actually open a door at all, and only the door they were meant to. The books could be found in closets or refrigerators that were otherwise empty of anything else, and if you had one that worked with you when you opened the right door, the door would just automatically unlock itself.

I remember being in a small room that had a fridge and two closets, and Hiro took a book out of the fridge while I grabbed one from a closet. At this point it was becoming real as opposed to a video game, although I still had some odd fuzzy concept of an inventory system so that I wasn't literally carrying the books around (I had several by now), they just vanished but I still "had them." I remember hearing a monster grumbling out in the hall right at that moment. The hall went around the room outside past two different doors on opposite ends. Hiro told me to go one way and he'd go the other and distract the monster.

I didn't like this idea but he was already out the one door so I ran through the other. I realized somehow that he'd been caught by the staff and I kept running, as for some reason they were assuming Hiro was the only patient not in his room. He'd bought me some time, but now I had to figure out how to put it to good use and if I stayed in the halls I still ran the risk of getting caught at random. I found a nurse's bathroom and hid under the sink. The idea was to burn some time so the staff would get complacent and maybe enough would go to sleep after-hours so I could finally escape.

Logic really started falling apart at this point (apparently if you stay in one place in a dream for too long, small constant changes start building up into ridiculousness). What started as a long counter with sinks in it and one big cupboard area underneath with several doors (my hiding spot was as far into the corner opposite the entry door by the far end of the sinks as possible), slowly turned into just a counter without the cupboard underneath, and then finally the counter had some kind of tablecloth which hid me better. I remember spending a lot of time trying to make sure I was as squeezed into the corner as it got, and that the white dress I was wearing was staying hidden with me instead of flared out partly so it was visible from beyond the counter.

This whole time I was dreading that someone would actually come into the bathroom, and yes, eventually a nurse and a nurse's assistant walked in, both women. For some reason, they had a bunch of dirty dishes on a two-tiered rolling metal cart. The assistant started shoving dishes under the counter and it was obvious she could see me, but I sat there and thought "You can't see me, you can't see me," over and over. At this point I vaguely understood that I was in a dream and that logic had broken enough she shouldn't have seen me right off the bat.

She didn't say anything to her superior who was blathering on about various gossip and directions for the next shift or something, and I realized it wasn't because I was desperately trying to insist in my head that she couldn't see me. The assistant wasn't evil, and knew this place was way more than just some honest asylum. She kept glancing at me but only crammed more dishes under the counter (I could hardly move for all the dishes). Suddenly the nurse in charge started saying really crazy things, like she was hallucinating and what she saw was no longer what anyone else in the room saw. The nurse stood still and started staring off at nothing as what she was saying rambled to a halt, and the assistant looked at me and mouthed the word, "Run."

I managed to extricate myself from the dishes without making any noise and ran out of the bathroom, not noticed at all by the crazy spaced-out nurse. I found a new hallway that led to a large closet, and inside the closet was a whole lot of hanging lab coats. I couldn't see the back of the closet, so I kept pushing through and the lab coats gave way to winter jackets and I found myself suddenly breaking out of a very thick display of such coats in a clothing store at a shopping mall.

There were tables just beyond, possibly for a cafe in this same store (logic, what is this concept? we don't do logic in dreams). There were randomly dream created family members there who recognized me and greeted me only like it was any old day, not like I'd been locked away in the funny farm. They didn't know, and I myself wasn't even sure how I'd gotten locked up there now. While they asked me mundane questions I said something to the effect of, "Listen, I've just escaped from a mental asylum up there on the hill," and pointed off in the general direction of where the hospital was (you couldn't see it from inside the mall).

They were all like, "Yeah right, very cute ha ha," and I said, "No, I'm serious, and I'm not even sure that I'm really out of there at all." I had a bad feeling that I was still somewhere in the asylum while hallucinating what I was seeing now, or somehow had my "spirit" split between the places and maybe I could actually tell these people something useful before waking back up in the asylum. I just hoped I was still hidden somewhere instead of stuck in my room again. I remember one dark-haired guy who was a random family friend looking off in the general direction of the hospital, he was starting to be convinced there was more to this.

Then I woke up.

This started with other stuff but got interesting as I was standing in a parking lot outside of a tall building in the daytime. I saw a dog flying through the air like it was swimming happily through it, about ten feet off the ground. It was a golden retriever type of dog. Meanwhile, buh? I kept watching, knowing something incredible was going on, and as the dog got further away there appeared just above it a kind of black mist in a tight swirl. Jagged black lines or black lightning came down from the mist and totally disintegrated the dog, and the whole thing vanished. It gave me the impression that something had just deleted an anomaly, and I wasn't supposed to see any of it.

I remember seeing a gentleman in Victorian-era clothing off on a sidewalk a moment later, and I think there was something else odd about it but I can't remember what now. The black mist stuff appeared above him too and POOF bye mister whoever you were. There was something else too that made no sense and then black-mist-vanished, can't remember what it was, but at this point I looked up at the sky and noticed there were very dark clouds that were parting in a wide circle above the tall building near me. I could see the side of a building with a whole bunch of windows in kinda dated apartment style, and that was falling very slowly downwards.

I realized there must be some kind of instability between our dimension and one nearby, and that I probably had very little time to find somewhere safe from the impending crash of that building up above. I had no idea how big the thing even was, and had a feeling that running away wouldn't suffice. So I ran into the big building because I (somehow) knew it had a deep basement system. I ran inside and started yelling for anyone to hear that they had to get down under the ground as far as possible. Even if we ended up buried but alive we might have a chance to get out or get dug out, in the meantime I just yelled at random people to go downstairs as far as they could.

I found some people having a church service in one room as I was trying to find the stairs down, and they were having trouble believing me. Whatever, sucks to be them, I kept going until I found a way down. The dream setting started to shift to where I was now only in a house and there was a downstairs that was still unfortunately half-open to open ground (large windows filled one wall, it was like the house was built on the side of uneven ground so the front door upstairs was on one level of ground and the bottom opened out onto the lower ground).

I was now trying to get a bunch of kids to hide, and I remember ducking down almost behind one couch and then thinking as I sat there that this wasn't going to help. I ran back upstairs and found a closet that had a laundry machine in it and enough room for someone to be in there. Several someone's technically, another girl arrived and wanted to hide with me while a third thought she could find somewhere better. I tried to tell her otherwise but she ran off so we shut the door.

Then the crash hit, and logic went all to heck. It felt like the closet had somehow been separated from the house and catapulted straight upwards. The explosion outside was something now like a nuke going off, and as the other girl and I kept our feet against the door while sitting on the floor with our backs to the washing machine, the floor started getting really hot. There were random sheets of metal like extra-large cookie sheets and possibly a flat plywood section or something, I tried sticking one or two of those under us to keep from being fried as the floor took on a look that it was burning straight through (reminded me a bit of partly-cooled lava texture in video games).

I remember thinking that if we were flying through the air, at some point we'd come back down and I had no idea how we were supposed to survive the impact. The logic fell apart so much though that the dream began to change entirely, to the point that I think I was telling someone else about it in a new house in a new location that I thought was actually not a dream, knowing at that point that the other part was a dream. I think I believed it was a warning, though, and that something really bad was about to happen.

I remember the idea that something tipped me off, but I'm not sure what. I ran to the windows and looked out, and saw a whole bunch of ridiculously large metal cubes (like Borg ships but smoother) arriving in the sky very high up and hovering there. I said, "They're here," and I told everyone to hide. There were random children of various ages and one or two adults in this house that my dream-self knew, and one person from real life which was my little sister who the dream decided was about thirteen again.

So yes, I told everyone to hide and I told them not to move, no to try and run away. Just find a good place to hide inside the house and stay there. I grabbed my white down comforter (that I actually own in real life) and found a closet that was painted white inside with fairly large shelves, like you could stack three or four rolls of toilet paper on each one. There was actually packages of toilet paper in there and not much else, and there were really only about two of them though they were some of the bigger packages (12 rolls, 24 rolls). I scooted under the bottom shelf with the comforter, toilet paper, and a random box of a half-decent size. Right at that moment my sister showed up to stand outside the door.

She seemed unsure this was going to work but I told her again to go hide, it was our only chance. She disappeared and I finished making a fairly decent hiding spot if nobody pulled the stuff out of the way. I lay there perfectly still and closed my eyes, and for some reason by this point the dream had decided there hadn't been a door on the closet in the first place. The house got very quiet and I started feeling very sleepy. So sleepy that it was like I could fall asleep right there even knowing we were about to or quite possibly now currently being invaded by aliens. I remember thinking I hoped if I fell asleep I would remain still and would survive simply because I remained hidden even while sleeping.

Light started to grow brighter, but my eyes were still closed. There wasn't any sound. I kept my eyes shut, and the light got brighter and brighter. I had a bad feeling there was one of the aliens standing outside the closet door right now, quite possibly staring straight at my hideout. I'm not sure if it was my imagination or a sorta movie-like dream info bit that showed a smooth, slender humanoid figure of a very light cream color standing out in the hall with a very bright light thing in its hands that just sort of glowed from some kind of central point.

I hoped that it couldn't literally see through the stuff I had in the way, and I was very aware for a very long moment of trying not to move, of trying to breathe without moving as much as possible. Then the light went away finally, and fairly quickly, and I realized the thing hadn't found me after all. I waited a bit longer and then peeked out from my hiding spot, saw nothing, and crept out further. One of the children came up to me whimpering and I asked if some of the others had try to run away from the house itself and she said yes. It was the two other adults, they'd been taken by the aliens and only the kids who had hidden stayed free for now.

While everyone seemed to think that for the moment we were safe, I knew better. I told them I had a bad feeling this was just a preliminary check, something fast to get the majority of people who didn't see it coming or weren't smart enough to hide right off the bat. I told them the aliens probably had some kind of device that would detect us but was clunkier to haul around or whatever, and now we needed to get out of the house. I think I was trying to figure out where to go, I have vague memories of some kind of Army base being nearby (maybe not very close but worth trying to travel to on foot) or possibly another structure with some kind of underground that was abandoned or not used much, and would serve as a better place to hole up and figure out what the heck to do, meet and/or gather others who had stayed free thus far.

I don't know what my solution was in the end, though, because then I woke up.

This dream was long and complex, involving an alien invasion of some sort at night and part of it I saw from the ground. I remember running around a building complex trying to find something, and seeing the goings-on from other's points of view, including a guy who was on a bus that crashed. He knew it wasn't safe to go outside the bus, but he did anyways and watched a strange alien form (that looked a bit like a dark red-brown werewolf without fur) go loping away along a street.

He saw another guy heading his way with a shotgun and a hunting dog, and got the distinct impression this older man was going to kill him, maybe thinking he was an alien or had been infected by something the aliens were spreading. That didn't happen though, and the hunter let the guy tag along as he went looking for something in half-looted stores. He didn't go into the stores, just kept running by them, and one of them that looked like a jewelry store he swore vehemently at because what he was looking for had been there before the attack: a detonator for a nuke. The other guy asked if stores actually kept stuff like that and the hunter said it had been on display. Meanwhile the tag-along was wondering exactly how crazy and dangerous this dude was.

Then the setting switched to the space station humankind had apparently set up in orbit around the planet. A modified version of myself was there, and that's the point of view I had for the rest of the dream (earlier had been split between the two chars and also some movie-like moments). Vin Diesel was a character there was well named Vin (how original, at least it was easy to remember). He was some kind of soldier who was also one of very few trained to do spacewalks. I had some sort of physical relationship with him but of course it wasn't supposed to come into play while we were on duty (...rats).

Something was wrong outside the space station, an air conduit had come loose (looked like a dryer hose with a sealing gasket on the end) and it affected some other major defense ability (I don't remember what... and if it had something to do with life-support, it doesn't seem like that was the only thing it affected). My commanding officer wanted one of the skinny tech guys to do it (he looked and acted like Jessie from The Fast & The Furious and I think had that name in the dream). Jessie was cleared for space walks but technically the hose/gasket issue wasn't his specialty. Vin was good at it.

I went with my orders, though, and once Jessie was out there he was having major problems and couldn't seem to do it. He was also getting flustered by the back-and-forth trade of energy beams between us and the bad guys. I asked Vin if he remembered a bunch of us back in training camp doing a mission that required this exact thing to be fixed and how long it took us to finish and how it'd made one of the girls cry, but he could do it perfectly every time. He did remember quite well, but meanwhile Jessie still wasn't getting anywhere. We were running out of time.

I walked over to Vin and told him to get out there and do it, regardless of the fact that I hadn't received that order and he knew it too. He got pissed and stormed off, angry that I hadn't let him go out in the first place. I followed him, begging him to stop and please not leave, and ended up chasing him around a short circular route through dark closets full of clothing and hallways and I couldn't catch up with him, he always stayed ahead of me.

I stopped, I was crying by now and crouched on the floor in one of the closets. I said I was sorry, that I should have ignored my orders and that I didn't want to lose him. I told him I loved him... and I don't think I'd done that before. I didn't want it to sound like a last-ditch effort to keep him from leaving completely... I meant every word. I didn't want to lose him. I hoped he'd stopped ahead of me to listen but I didn't know for sure, I was looking at the floor and wiping my eyes and wondering if it was really over and I'd lost him thanks to my bad decision. A few moments later he appeared behind me, having gone around the circuit again, and he stood there looking thoughtful and a touch wistful. He said, "Maybe I've been going about things the wrong way all this time. I always take off, make an impression..." I don't remember what else he said, but it was obvious he was going to stick around and we now had to find him his space suit.

The problem was that apparently if they weren't clean or had been worn by someone else, they got horribly dirty and smelly even in one use. If it had been Vin's from a previous run it wouldn't be quite so bad, but we couldn't seem to find any suits or even pieces of them. The area we were searching looked like an upper-class home, with several bathrooms and various other rooms. I finally found what the dream said was part of the suit, and I noticed that it looked cleaner than normal. What it was was a shirt, combat vest, and cargo pants in shades of khaki all set up nicely on a hangar held up on something on the wall. Vin grabbed it and said something like, "I'll see you on the flip side," and I knew he was heading for the showers which was apparently a necessary step in spacewalking.

Meanwhile I had to find the rest of the suit, y'know, like gloves, boots, and a helmet. This was failing miserably, as the space station still looked like an upper-class home and all I was finding in various closets were normal boots, shoes, gloves... eventually I heard Vin taping himself in preparation, post-shower, and wondered if he had any clothes on yet. Nevermind that it's really absurd to think that he was using masking tape on various parts of his body as another necessary pre-walk step. I kept looking for the suit pieces, getting frazzled at my total lack of finding them and knowing we were badly running out of time.

Then I woke up.

I had a couple dreams before this one, all I can remember is being with Indiana Jones in a train station and kissing him to encourage him because he was really down, and later playing or being immersed in Splinter Cell, redoing checkpoints and making head shot kills. I've dreamed the Splinter Cell thing a *lot* lately.

Anyways, The first thing I remember in the final dream was being in a room shared by a couple of children, and I was standing by a little girl. The room belonged to her sister and brother. She was scared and I picked her up. She knew something important, something people were trying to get at her for. I was talking on the phone, probably to superiors, updating them on the situation. Then two older kids or teenagers tried to come in through the French doors on one side of the room, but I locked them just in time.

Then the little girl's father appeared, and I had a feeling he'd been treating her badly for some time. But this time he was here to find out this secret the girl knew. I was worried he'd get dangerous. I managed to convince him that the clue the little girl was going to give was somewhere in the closet (which was true) so he could find out what it was when we came back out. This seemed to placate him for the moment.

I locked myself and the little girl in the closet. It was huge, for a closet anyways, more like a small room. At the end was a child's bed, and I realized this was the little girl's room. There was a set of shelves with toys on it and a lot of clothes hanging around (like you'd expect in a closet). I put the girl down and she looked under the bed. I did too, but there was nothing there. Then she looked up behind the headboard of the bed and pulled something out that had been stuck back there.

It looked like a very damaged stem from a fake flower. I realized it was what was left of the red silk rose that a famous gangster used to wear in his suit pocket, and I also knew this ganster had owned the house many years ago. All that was left of this flower though was the green plastic stem which was falling apart, and had been split in one part so you could see the silver wire inside. There was a tiny dirty white leaf left on one stem. It looked like junk, but I knew better.

Before exiting the closet I tore off a shred of plastic from the stem and hid the main part in my shirt pocket, keeping the little useless bit in my hand. Back in the bedroom I gave it to the father person and said that's all it was, just trash. He stood there confused, looking at it. I left the house before he figured out otherwise. (I have no idea where the little girl went to.)

It's not that the junky stem was worth anything, it's what it meant: a clue to the location of a treasure rumored to have been left behind by the gangster. I remember finding the other clue in a pile of dirt in an unfinished lot elsewhere in town, and with the location of the two clues, I and a companion or two figured out where the treasure was: right in between the two locations on the map. We hopped into a cab and took off for the treasure's supposed location.

At this point it was like I was a gangster myself, the old 1920's kind, and my pals were my cohorts in crime or whatever. The father guy from back in the house became the leader of rival mobsters, and we knew he'd be trying to find us now and follow us to the treasure. We arrived at a big hill, it sort of reminded me of Mount Trashmore if you know what that is. Anyways it was a green hill in the middle of a park.

We dug into the top of this hill with shovels and found a chest. Inside the chest was... books and tea! There were lots more books and tea hidden inside this hill. In fact, the whole hill was just books and tea with sod on top of it. I said to one of my buddies, "You know how much this would have cost back then?" and he just sort of looked at me like he knew the answer but didn't want to say it. So I did: "A fortune." We realized the legendary gangster person had spent his entire fortune on this stuff, and I think I even knew it had probably been meant as a wedding present that hadn't managed to be given in time (before the ganster died, I assumed).

Then the other gansters showed up, our rivals. The leader was furious that all there was in the treasure heap was books and tea. He started throwing stuff around hoping to find some real money. I remember hoping he wouldn't damage the stuff because I thought it was valuable in a way other than monitary. Most of the books were still in excellent shape, and a lot of them had to be old, maybe rare or of historical value. I also remember laughing at the "bad guys" because they had been all hyped up over finding a huge fortune in money or gold and all there was was... books and tea.

Then I woke up.

I was playing the game The 7th Guest but I was really in the game, which is about a haunted house. I was wandering around the house, and it really didn't look anything like the one in the game; if anything, it looked more like the trashed version in the sequel The 11th Hour. This didn't bother me though, I didn't notice in the dream. I suddenly found a new area in the house, which was strange because nobody had ever mentioned or found it before, and I knew how to beat the game without even going into the new section. If I remember right there was a passage in the back of a closet and it went into some secret rooms including one with a bunch of old-fashioned toys in it, like dolls and wooden things. The colors in these areas were mostly dirty browns.

While I was looking for clues as to why this other section of the house was even available in the game, I seemed to know that old man Stauff (the game's villain) was coming home, and going to be in the area I was in shortly. I tried to run away, and kept ahead of him until I was almost out of the room with the old toys. He caught me there with his long creepy tongue (a hint at the weird ending to the real game) and absorbed me into the spirit realm. In other words my body disappeared and I became a ghost. I think I was stuck in that room or that area of the house from then on, and it seems like someone else found the new area finally and was trying to figure out if there was a way to help me.

I don't remember the rest.

This is a continuation of the alien dream I posted last time, just with a lot more plot holes and goofy stuff that makes no sense. If you haven't read the first dream, you'll want to or the rest of this won't make sense.

It was daytime. Apparently we had survived the first alien attack. Or it hadn't come, for some reason. The house that was key to the last dream meant less in this one, and it had changed in looks and location. It was smaller and surrounded by desert, not really sandy desert but sort of limestone stuff. Plus it was near a huge chasm.

Anyways, I heard that my Kurt Russel alien story had been made into a movie, and that the VHS version was newly available at a town up north of the house. I decided to go get it, thinking there was enough time before the alien invasion. I took an eastward road around the chasm and then headed north, I think I was driving a safari-style jeep.

I don't remember if I got the movie or not, but it seems like I ended up back at the house, to find out that a whole ton of people (who must have lived in the area, maybe including the townsfolk from up north) were going to the other side of the chasm to a network of caves to hide out from the aliens. And that they had already left... and once they got in the caves, they'd seal some special doors that had been built there, maybe by the government. I could see them on the other side of the chasm, they were in a long line and some of them had torches because the sun was setting. There were people with me, probably my family or remnants of the people who'd been with me in the first dream, and I knew we would never make it to the caves on time.

So I said something about making full use of our closet we'd stocked with food, and that we should get on in there.

Then either I woke up or the dream changed to something else.

Well, okay, maybe they wanted to be in my head. But anyways, this dream felt like a cross between the television series The 4400 and a random alien movie like Signs. For the purposes of this dream, which came pre-loaded with a whole different past for me and everything, we'll say that the 4400 were something that had been heard of in the area where I lived in the dream, but wasn't necessarily something we'd come across. We weren't sure on the truth of the matter, if the 4400 people had been abducted and then returned by aliens, or by our future descendants of the future, or if they really had special powers, or whatever.

Now for the dream proper. I lived with my family in a big farm house in a farm type community. I had a mother and two or three kid siblings, but I don't remember any father figure. My mom was nice, and the kids were cute and relatively well behaved. I remember being inside the house one night, and I kept having these strange quick visions of nasty aliens creeping around our house in the dark, or breaking windows, things like that. I think all the doors were locked, like we had locked them out of fear, because there was a very strong, weird storm going on outside. We knew it might be an alien attack of some type... and huddled in the middle of the house beside a chest of drawers we had placed in a doorway for some reason. I remember a candle, so the power must have been out.

Then it was daytime, and we were standing in the living room (not far from that doorway that had been half-barricaded). I was trying to make plans to survive an alien invasion, but I stopped talking as this boy we knew walked into the room. It occurred to me that he'd been rumored to have been part of the 4400. And something was wrong... he didn't act or walk like a little kid (he couldn't have been more than 10 years old). As he walked by me, I saw that one of his eyes, his left eye, had a bright green iris. I suddenly just knew that this meant he'd been taken over by an alien. And to me, it felt like he was lost, whatever boy had been in his mind and body before was long dead, filled now with the menace of an evil alien.

I was looking around for a weapon while trying to appear like I hadn't noticed that anything was wrong. I found a knife with a rather long blade just as the kid went after my mom, attacking her and trying to kill her. I stabbed him with the knife several times, and killed him. The other children (my kid siblings) were crying and my mom was scared too, but she was also saying, "Now the aliens will be really mad, you killed one of them! Where are we going to hide the body?" I remember saying something stupid like, "Do you think it looks like one of the cats did it?" as I wrapped the body up in a thin rug that was on the floor. I was trying not to get any blood anywhere, yet I managed to get a few drops on the floor. It was creepy looking stuff, thicker than human blood, and a sort of puke green color. I had a feeling that an alien would be able to sense this stuff from a distance, and would definitely freak out if they found it on something in our house.

Anyways, I took the body upstairs and hid it in one of the top drawers of my mother's dresser. I figured that if we were going to hide ourselves somewhere in the house, it should be as far away from the location of the body as possible. I knew it would be a bad idea to leave the house, as at least this was familiar territory, and who knows what would happen next or when. I had just gotten back downstairs when one of the kids started yelling that there was something in the sky. I went to a window and saw what looked like flying saucers from those really old, bad alien movies. You know, the hubcaps on wires concept. Except I knew this was real, and they were flying high through the sky. At least they appeared on a trajectory somewhere beyond our house (they would be flying over it) but that still wasn't very comforting.

I started screaming for everyone to close the curtains. There were a LOT of windows in this house, and I ran around closing curtains as fast as I could. I called as many of the cats into the house as I could justify, since we didn't know how long we had before aliens would be creeping around our house. Assuming my visions were true, and they were starting again. Once most of the cats were in the house and the rest refused to come (there were a LOT of cats, maybe a hint at the movie The Mummy I watched recently), I locked the doors, but there was a big set of double doors by the kitchen that gave me trouble. The lock didn't want to work properly, and the doors kept opening.

I got the doors to sort of hold, at least stay closed, and found that a bunch of the windows in the house still hadn't had their curtains closed. And an argument was starting about where we were all going to hide. There was a man in the group now, I don't know what relation he had to the family (maybe a farmhand or manager). I think there might have been one or two friends of my siblings in the house now too. Maybe an extra person, like a neighbor mom or something, but I really don't know. Anyways, the guy kept saying we should stay in a room with windows. "No windows!!!" I kept saying. I knew we needed a small room with NO windows, something that might be easier to get away with hiding in, and something harder to break into than a room with freaking glass windows. Duh!

Maybe he thought we'd need the airflow or light or something. I figured if we were in a room with windows we wouldn't last long enough to enjoy those luxuries. So I said we should use a closet. I settled on the closet that was off of the kitchen. It had NO windows and was a small empty room with just the one door leading to the kitchen (in reality it makes no sense, it would have been a pantry full of food or something, but whatever... apparently having an empty closet room in your kitchen was normal in the dream world). I told people to find all the food and water and drinks they could find and get them into that room.

I started carrying stuff from the fridge to the closet, things like six packs of soda and juice. I remember passing up the idea of taking some ice cream sandwiches, even though it might be a fun thing for the kids who were really scared. I also remember thinking that I couldn't eat them, and neither could my mom (so my food allergies bled into the dream somehow... the flavors of the sandwiches I had been looking at were Chocolate Chip Mint... but my mom was still this dream mom, not my real one). The guy person suggested three boxes of freeze dried food we'd gotten somewhere, but by this time I was ready to get everyone hidden away because I figured we were out of time. And the strange thing was, it was dark again, night time.

(This dream seemed to change from night to day and back again without warning or implied time flow, kinda like that terribly-made movie Plan Nine From Outer Space. Also, sometimes when I was closing curtains or doors it was like there was this fierce, unearthly dark swirly windy stuff flowing around the house, just outside the doors, but I can't remember specifically what moments that happened during the dream. I remember being afraid of that inky windy stuff though.)

We'd gotten batteries, flashlights, candles, blankets, weapons (including guns), and everything else we could think of on short notice into the closet. Everyone was in there too now, except for me, as I was going to go for the freeze dried stuff which was stored in the next room (beyond the kitchen, and those stupid double doors were half way into that room in the way the house was laid out). I heard a noise in the next room, and saw that those accursed double doors were open again. I grabbed the nearest blunt object, which I think might have actually been some sort of kid's toy, like a hard plastic baseball bat but not quite... it had more like a mining pick kind of shape, especially on the end that I'd be using to bash alien brains in with, or try.

But it wasn't an alien that moved into view. It was someone I knew from the neighborhood, and he had a weapon too, some random blunt object (probably a wooden board or something) and he stopped when he saw me. The thought occurred to me that maybe he had thought my noises in the kitchen were caused by an alien intruder. Then I looked at his eyes, and I noticed that his left eye was darker than the right one, but not green. I think he saw me hesitating and said, "Yeah, I've got an astigmatism," and that made sense in the dream as to why his one eye was darker (silly dream physics again). Then I realized something, and said to him, "You've seen them. You've seen the people taken over by aliens!" And he said yes.

I think the idea was he was going to join our little survival group, and there was a random thought in my head that if we were going to be hiding out for a long time, we should have made some sort of preparation for bathroom needs.

Then I woke up.
