A vampire dream that sucked... badly...

(Due to the general lack of logic in this, and issues remembering exactly how things went, this is going to make less sense than normal. This was no doubt inspired by seeing an article on the new Twilight movie in the magazine InStyle.)

I started in a modern-day shopping mall, as a vampire looking for my other vampire friends. I was with one of them at first, but she left, and as I was trying to work my way back to where I'd seen her last, I met another of the vampires, a guy. I could sense that my vampire "breed mother" (words directly from the dream) was "dying" and I needed to get to her. I knew she was underground somewhere, and so we went off to try and find the passage downwards.

In a hallway we were going to run by a statue of Abraham Lincoln (a smaller version of the one inside the Lincoln Memorial in D.C.), but I said to stop because the passage was under it. I just knew it somehow. Right around this point a third vampire joined us, a girl. At first, under the actual statue was a dresser and when we took the drawers out we weren't getting anywhere near finding an actual passageway. Then the statue disappeared... somehow... and the spot on the floor under it was like the top of a cardboard box. I opened it to find another similar box top, and several more. The dream could have really derailed badly at this point, but I decided to push down into these endless-seeming box tops and found they pushed down completely into a long, metal slide-passageway that went down at a rather steep angle. We couldn't see the bottom and the impression it gave was that is would be a very long trip.

I lept in without further questioning and the other two followed. I remember being a bit afraid that the thing would get so small we couldn't pass through and would suffocate or something, or hit a dead end and splatter, but in the end I slid gently out of the bottom of the slide in a large room that had a flat-panel TV screen set up high in the wall that seemed to be recording us as we ventured into this new area. I wondered if someone was watching us, and if they were possibly someone who'd be on our side. So I made a plus sign in the air in front of me and then pointed to myself (indicating I was a healer, I guess, RANDOM MUCH!? I'm instantly a vampire with healing magic now).

From an opening into a short hallway with stairs off of the room, a female vampire came staggering in. She was dying, and trying to tell us something, and I knew wherever she had come from was where the fight was. But I wasn't sure what we were dealing with... and I remember trying to heal her (we won't get into that, it was so horribly stupid) instead of barging on into wherever she'd fled from.

Then I woke up.
