tirsdendreams: (unknown danger)
This started as me watching a movie in a theater, and during one of the previews I noticed that the music was the theme to Raising Arizona, the one that plays during the opening credits. I said as much out loud, but nobody seemed to care. I wondered to myself if this was just trailer music or if they'd actually use it in the film. Then the movie proper started, and the first identifiable character was Bill Pullman playing someone who worked on a farm, or so it would seem since he was riding a tractor. Perhaps he was the son of the farm's owner, the feeling was that he was more than just a farmhand. The time period seemed dated, perhaps the 1930's or 40's.

Then he was walking along an orchard path with two girls, one probably in her mid 20's right next to him and the other, a teenager perhaps 14 or 15 following behind. I became the girl who was following. Bill (let's call him that because I have no idea what his character name was) and the other girl were talking, and it was obvious she was trying to be sweet on him. He seemed to be acting a little bashful over that, but wasn't being totally sweet back at her. They had very distinct southern accents, perhaps even a bit overdone (as Nostalgia Critic would say, "I'm acting!").

My own accent I knew was far different from theirs, "normal" in my opinion but an outsider here, me being a city girl from up north just visiting for the summer or something. I'd visited before, these people were family friends, maybe distant cousins... and I also liked Bill, but I wondered if he even knew I existed in that sense. (I had an inkling here of the grander plot that my character wouldn't know, that I might be surprised how much attention he actually paid me, but that he might not guess at my thoughts due to my age and not being there all the time.)

There were a lot of bright yellow flowers on the trees we were passing, and some other trees were more like tulip trees with I think pink flowers that were bulkier. I picked one of the yellow ones, it had a lot of soft petals and I smelled it as I kept following the others. I picked a second flower, and then the girl sounded like she was going to break into song. I remember thinking something like "Is this movie a musical? I had no idea..." and was hoping it wasn't going to be sucktastic (I like good musicals and well I didn't like this woman so my opinion was already a bit tainted at least of this number... nevermind that there was still the floating thought that this was a movie even though it was becoming more and more that the movie's plot and world were the real world completely).

The song ended up being something that I sang in tandem with her, and it started with the first verse of "These Are a Few of My Favorite Things" (from The Sound Of Music). It would seem we'd practiced this to performance level, for a local talent show that we'd already done. I had the melody after her, and a made-up bit of completely original tune and words (which I can't remember now) and then she had her own bit after me. We even did a bit of almost folk-type dancing together, and as this was going on... the setting went from broad daylight to night without my noticing any great flaw in the logic.

Our path had taken us into a hayfield or something similar, and the section where we were now as her song part continued seemed freshly mowed. Due to how dark it was, I was feeling uncomfortable about the odd mown layer of grass-like clippings on the ground over the inch-high remaining stalks. I think the singing stopped, and I was wondering to myself how safe it was to be out here this late, perhaps we should go back...

I was a bit further ahead of the others, and suddenly my head started to hurt. I put my hand to my forehead and fell backwards, at least the ground was kind of soft and I don't remember that being an issue. What I do remember is saying, "It's happening again!" like I'd forgotten about this but was now remembering that something had happened before. I could hear the others sounding concerned in the distance, Bill I think shouted something, but all I could really do was look up at the clear night sky with its billions of stars.

Suddenly all was completely silent. I think I said something like, "Is someone there?" and my voice sounded weirdly echoey, like I was suddenly in a completely different space I couldn't see. I could see my own reflection slightly, a little bit above me, which didn't make sense, but there it was. Then there was a bright blue-white light that seemed to come from nowhere in the stars and got bigger and brighter very fast, coming straight at me and engulfing me and I screamed in fear and tried to raise my arms up in front of my face.

I felt a strong pull and knew that whatever it was, it had captured me. It was too bright to see but I had the impression of a great deal of speed and travel upwards into the sky and beyond. Once I could see again, I found myself in a very strange, smallish... room-thing. (Being as this was a time period when space travel didn't exist, along with a lot of established sci-fi conventions, "I" was very confused by a layout that wouldn't be all that unconventional for a modern day mind.) If I had been able to move properly, I might have been able to touch the sides of the grey metal shaft that I seemed to be at the top of, and the front and back would have been barely in reach. The walls to the left and right of me didn't have a sharp corner up above, but a more gentle curve up to a flat ceiling not real far above me. I think there was a window to my right, where I could see outer space, but I was too afraid to be distracted by that.

I was being held in place by glass inch-thick plate-like separators that seemed to extend from the walls horizontally and had holes in them to fit my neck, my chest at about my elbows, and probably a couple more points down lower. I couldn't really see what was down below me. Being stuck like this was frightening but it didn't really hurt because I was technically floating. I didn't know if something was supposed to happen to me, or had already happened to me, but I knew I couldn't remember anything so detailed as this from before and wondered if I was more conscious than whoever this was... aliens... thought I was.

The plates started to retract away from me, having even splits in them and pulling into the walls, and then part of the wall in front of me slid down, revealing a window where behind was a boy maybe my age or a little older. He was wearing a grey jumpsuit and had brown hair that was roughly shoulder-length and in an unconventional style (vaguely emo-ish). We stared at each other for a moment, he looked just as confused as I'm sure I did, and then I realized that I was being drawn downwards by an unseen force.

He started banging on the window and shouting, "Let me out!" as the force became faster, and I could tell he wasn't yelling at me, more at whoever was doing this. I lost sight of him quickly though and suddenly couldn't see, the world growing very dark. I felt a strong push backwards, very strong, the same unknown force that never actually seemed to touch me. Then backwards became down, and fast, as if that direction had always been down, and I felt like I hit something soft so fast that it stunned me.

I realized my eyes were closed and most of my body unresponsive, but I could move my left hand and felt around. I was recognizing my own bed (not my real-life one, but this dream was continuing to supply built-in-past facts as needed). I concentrated on waking up, though I knew what I'd just been through wasn't a dream, and I had no idea how long I'd been back, what the others had seen, or how my return had been explained to my parents in the house below, or if they even knew I was back. I had a feeling they did, that somehow what had happened could be explained away and that they'd call me crazy or over-imaginative for telling the truth... which I was going to to anyways. Meanwhile I was able to get up finally and felt really fuzzy, like my body was still half asleep.

I got off the top bunk of the bunk beds I slept in and knew I had to draw what I could remember. I was also thinking about the boy, wondering if he was trapped there indefinitely and wondering if there was some way to save him. Plus, he was cute, and I had to wonder if we'd met before but I just couldn't remember. I tried to find paper and a working pencil, also pulling down the blinds and closing curtains nearby thinking that the aliens might still be watching me and might not want me to be able to remember so much of what I'd seen this time. I had trouble with the curtains, and eventually called it good and tried to turn on a light to see better, but that barely did anything at all (and I remember saying out loud, "oh, so it's going to be like that," as a reference to lights not working properly in dreams, but I didn't catch this thought well enough to make it a true lucid dream).

I ended up leafing through a large newsprint-like sketchpad and finding a half-cut-up scrap and an ink pen. I drew the top area of the ship I'd been trapped in, just the general shape of it and without the concept of the window(s) or the boy. I drew it really badly, I seemed to be having trouble getting the concept of drawing to cooperate, but by the end of it I had at least the shape and the idea that it had a lot of rivets down on paper. I tore the drawing out of the sketchpad and headed for the door.

Then I woke up.

A lot of the major details of this dream are fuzzy, but I do remember the animals. At first I found a black rat in a dark room that had a big unmade bed in it (mine? not sure), it was moving really fast and seemed scared of me. I know that as pets, rats are very sociable, and I kept thinking I could convince it to be friends with me somehow. I just talked to it as if it were already a pet, hoping it would think everything was fine and warm up to me.

Then the rat changed to a ferret (as if it always had been one) that was pretty much all very dark fur... I would say black, but my brain kept telling me that all-black wasn't possible, or endangered and thus not really available as a pet. And he was very loving and friendly and I was holding him, and for some reason I was now in a basement room where the ferret's cage was. Then he had a pure white buddy, not even sure where the second one came from, but I knew they were both mine. I was having trouble remembering the dark one's name, but finally remembered it was Riddick. The light one I think had a really short name like "Cho" and possibly later it got changed to "Aster" (as that's my albino original character).

There was some nonsense about the house flooding and me trying to get out of it without the ferrets getting wet. I couldn't remember if they could swim or not. I stuck one ferret on each of my shoulders and managed to get out, since I was currently taller than the water was deep. I think there was something about a car ride... the ferrets disappeared into dream logic plot holes... and then I was in a parking lot by a large open parkland with a playground in one area near a bunch of picnic benches, and some forest and open grass with walking trails. There was a dog in the parking lot, some kids were petting it.

This dog is probably the weirdest combination of breeds I have ever seen. I believe what it was supposed to be was a rottweiler, pit bull, and corgi mix. It had the coloration and muscles of a rottweiler, it's face was also mostly that breed but I could see some pit bull there, and then it had the shape and general size of a corgi. Cute and hilarious all at once.

The kids said the dog was a stray or something, but as I was petting it I noticed that its fur was clean and looked like it had been taken care of; it didn't have a collar. The dog was super-friendly and really liked me (and I liked it, I was kinda hoping it needed a home) so I picked it up and said, "Let's go see if you belong to someone." I started carting this dog around the park, specifically the picnic area where a large group seemed to be having a gathering, and I kept asking random people if it was theirs.

I wasn't having any luck (yay! new doggy all mine?) but strangely enough the dog seemed to keep changing into a fluffier, curlier-haired dog, like cute-overkill, kinda like something Paris Hilton might have except it was still a chubby thing, not skinny.

I can't remember any more.

tirsdendreams: (bad guys r us)
It was the beginning of a science fiction movie, the camera view floating above the earth in orbit and approaching a very alien looking ship, all smooth curves and a large hole in the middle. Over the edge of that hole was crawling a very chattery sort of quasi-robot alien that was going to go down and spy on the planet. He jumped off the edge and headed down towards where gravity soon pulled him faster and faster through the atmosphere.

Now it was like there were two people instead, a man and a woman, and the guy was the leader and also me. We both used some kind of braking mechanism to slow our descent, but still hit the ground so hard it shook badly. We were now inside a building (that I don't remember having crashed through), and the damage from the shock was so great that it started cracking up the walls and breaking, daylight visible outside.

It was imperative to leave before anyone came to investigate, but outside it was obvious that there was a lot of confusion due to other buildings also suffering damage. Nobody seemed to take much noticed of the visitors who looked human enough, if maybe our clothing was a little oddly cut.

Later on, there were now three people in this group as if it had always been three, the third being a robot that had a skin-covering to make it look human, like an android. Now I was the girl, and we were standing beside a large cliff looking up it at a research center built at the top. To the left, the cliff had been hollowed out some by what must have been a huge impact that was still glowing red, like a meteorite had landed there not too long ago. Now the plot was trying to imply that the huge impact from earlier had happened there instead.

There was some kind of water system or dam above the impact zone, and it released water that rushed down into the hollow area. I was thinking that it looked like an awful lot of water, and backed up. The water hit the hot rocks and completely evaporated into steam. The robot guy and the man were busy trying to figure out whatever the heck we were there to figure out, and I stayed back even though the more obvious danger was over and there was no more water.

As they were deciding they should find a way up to the research center, there was another deluge of water and this time the rocks were cool enough that some splashed across the area where the other two were still standing. The robot seemed to find this most disagreeable, while I was giggling because it wasn't like they didn't have enough warning to get back to where I had stayed nice and dry. At least the robot guy's sensitive electrical workings were protected by his fake skin.

The scene shifted to possibly inside the research center, the plot wasn't very clear on that. I was now the guy in charge, and wearing a Star Fleet uniform in the style of the old show. It would seem the show was now reality for this dream though, as Captain Kirk was talking to me and making sure we were legitimate researchers on the planet. We weren't, but we were faking it. Spock was there, and as we were leaving the room, I saw him press something into a round vase he was holding and then give it to one of my allies who didn't notice anything wrong.

In the next room where we were alone and moving on elsewhere, I stopped and pointed to the vase, saying, "He bugged it." My associate nodded and either located the bug to destroy it or just left the vase in that room as we continued on. I'm not entirely sure, as I was thinking that perhaps it wasn't smart to have said that out loud, but then realized they probably weren't monitoring the frequency until after they got back to the ship. Either way, we were heading for a safer area where we could properly go on with our plans... whatever they were.

Then I woke up.

tirsdendreams: (leave it all behind)
There was a family with a mother and two kids, one being a teenage boy and the other a preteen girl. They were on vacation from up north and arriving at a desert hotel in Texas; the place was set up like a bunch of disconnected buildings over a wide area. It was still afternoon, very hot and sunny.

The hotel office was the first building as the mother pulled the car past it, but there was no obvious parking lot right there. She said she'd find it and went to the left along the road, there were more buildings and stuff to the right. They passed a pool, and the son mentioned it though he also said perhaps the water wasn't so promising after all, as from the angle he was looking at it, it looked like it might have been a murky green. It was hard to tell, though, and there was another bigger pool after that with even less-promising water.

The further they went, the more obvious it was they were getting too far away, and the son mentioned this but the mother refused to go back, still convinced the parking lot was out here somewhere. He said it was too far to walk back, and then as they seemed to leave the complex entirely and approach a large warehouse and other buildings, he said, "Look, we're in a whole other township now!"

The mother pulled over and the son got out, tired of dealing with the stupidity. He knew where the hotel office was, even if it was quite a walk back. There was a place to get drinks and he went inside, asking the guy behind the counter how much a Cherry Coke was. On the answer, the teenager put a coin on the counter and said, "I'll take 20, then."

The coin had the denomination "10000" on one side, along with the word "Canada", and on the other side it had the word "GOLD". The guy behind the bar stayed where he was, leaning up against another counter along the back wall; he could see the coin from there.

Some older guy chuckled at the kid and said, "That's worth about two bucks, son."

It still wasn't gonna fly even for a soda, so the kid finally dug a quarter out of his pocket, which was apparently the price of the drink. Still the guy behind the bar didn't move, and the teen asked why that wasn't enough.

"Sales tax."

"Geez, you guys charge sales tax on food here?" Digging around in his pocket again, he pulled out a penny and added it, and he really didn't have any more so he was about to ask how much sales tax could possibly be on a quarter.

A woman came up, she was probably late 20's at least and pretty, with short blonde hair and wearing jeans and a denim leather jacket over a t-shirt of some sort. She added random coins to the little pile and told the guy behind the counter to keep the change. The kid couldn't believe someone so pretty was helping him out, and then it seemed she wanted to actually sit by him at the counter and talk to him.

Now there seemed to be some kind of plot developing, to do with the woman needing to get some information out of the kid. Meanwhile about all he was thinking was that if this kept up and she stuck around even when he would have to walk back to the hotel eventually, he was suddenly glad it was a very long walk back. In the meantime, the soda came in bottles as she had also ordered a regular Coke for herself, and it seemed to keep nicely cold even when they refilled the glasses later.

I had the visuals of the glasses being refilled, but made a comment to someone nearby as if I were watching a movie. I said I could really go for a rootbeer float, regular flavor (the concept of Cherry Coke versus regular Coke was confusing things). I don't know who it was I was talking to, I was still paying attention to the... movie?

Then I woke up.

I don't actually own the doll yet, but I dreamed that I saw him as big as a full-size person yet still a ball-jointed doll, getting up and standing in... I think it was a field, but I'm not sure. The only real details I remember is him, that he wasn't wearing a shirt, and that he was looking at his hands and arms, a bit amazed to be actually alive.

Then I woke up.

tirsdendreams: (redefinition of me)
I was Sherlock Holmes, invited one evening to an extravagant party in a lavishly-decorated room. I was speaking to a well-dressed older gentleman who turned away to speak to others after saying a few words to me, and I turned away myself as that conversation was over.

Someone was watching the gentleman who no longer held my attention, the viewer unseen behind a slit in the high bar counter. Suddenly a dagger flew from that location, but I only saw the aftermath as the gentleman fell dead with the blade through the back of his skull.

People backed off, shrieked, what have you, and after a quick confirmation by Watson that the man was indeed dead, I tried to ascertain what had happened. In theory, everyone on my side of the room with a clear line of sight to the body was a suspect, but to do such a deed would have risked someone seeing.

Then I woke up... tried to figure out what time period the dream was supposed to be set in... and eventually fell back to sleep. I think I dreamed other things before the main concept of this dream returned.

It was now most definitely modern times and daylight, and I was returning to the apartment building where the party had been held. But instead of some lavish establishment, this turned out to be a converted indoor shopping area. I knew the person who owned the room where the party had taken place, and I recognized a poster that belonged to her in a locked glass display area on one side of the hall. It seems that because she owned the apartment that would have been the shop with access to that display, she could unlock it and put whatever she wanted in there.

This person was a friend, and I think her identity had trouble sticking with one likeness, but at least at first she was my real-life friend Saphiroko. (Yeah, I'm still Sherlock Holmes. Sense this makes not.) She met me in the hall, I made a warm remark about the use of the display, and she let me into the room.

It was completely empty, all the furnishings from the party completely gone and even the ceiling looked like it had been stripped back to plaster that had a lot of inch-round holes in it for some reason, spaced a few feet apart at intervals. The stark change distressed me, for it would be nearly impossible to gather evidence or test theories now.

Dream logic failed badly in this section, as I stated that I remembered the bar being in one location, a fireplace being next to it, and as I looked around some more, the fireplace was suddenly there, but in the wrong location (and I said as much). Then I questioned the validity of my memory, and yet still I was falling upon the theory that the bar counter would have been roughly where the knife could have come from.

Then I woke up.

I'm not sure how this dream started, but I know at some point the Star Trek episodes I'd been watching before sleeping inspired a rocket launch that contained a nuclear warhead. The dream-plot idea was that it had to explode in the atmosphere way before it hit its actual target, and I knew that whoever had sabotaged the rocket had succeeded. This seemed to be fairly modern-day, except for the 60's style rocket.

The launch point was on the far side of a large city; I was currently in the outskirts. I was running towards a waterfront area as the rocket launched, and I kept looking back to see it get higher and higher. I knew I could only run so fast, and that if I was still in danger I was toast anyways, but I was still trying to get some more distance and possibly find better cover. I also didn't want to miss the explosion... you only see that once in a lifetime.

I was still in a fairly large parking lot when the rocket exploded into a huge fireball that glowed brighter than the sun. There were bits coming off it, huge flaming trails of fiery death-stuff, and those things were making it further than the main explosion, which was now a problem as they could possibly reach as far as me.

One did, and sent a semi truck blasting into the air sideways towards me. It was rolling as I ducked to the ground, and for a moment I think I half-realized I was dreaming. I forgot again a moment later, but in the meantime convinced my subconscious mind that the truck managed to hit other stuff or roll just right to merely halt above me instead of squishing me.

Now I had some cover, and after a moment of "gee I almost just died" I crawled out from under it and looked around. The explosion in the sky was dissipating but I knew I still needed to keep moving. I continued my run towards the waterfront and down a boardwalk that led past some one-story hotel rooms. I went into one, and found two girls sitting at a table.

The three of us girls started making a plan for... something... it seems like it was more than just getting out of the city... possibly something more to do with the rocket conspiracy. I can't remember as the details get fuzzy there, I just remember us standing around a small, white, round table talking about things. I also remember there were little black round things that the two girls kept playing with, almost like clumps of play-dough.

Then I woke up.

I'm not sure how the dream started, but the first part I remember vaguely was almost like watching television or stock footage of meteorites or fallen space debris landing on earth, creating craters and blowing through buildings like they were nothing.

The next part I remember more clearly was being in front of the double doors of a small building that had a dock attached to it; the water was either a lake or a large inlet from the ocean. The doors were behind me, there was a grassy area to the right where one could access the dock/building, and then the dock stretched out in front of me. Above the entrance area where I was standing, there was a patio cover for shade and the sky directly above wasn't visible because of it. It was daytime and sunny.

The idea of meteorites was sticking in the dream plot, and there were other people under the shade with me. A bunch of them went inside because they were afraid of getting hurt, but I knew it didn't make a bit of difference trying to hide in a building and instead went to peeked out from under the shade. I saw very high up two little meandering white trails in the partly-cloudy sky. The trails moved quickly but oddly enough they weren't straight lines like one would expect from a meteorite. I knew that's what they were though.

There was a black guy who seemed to have a sense of humor about the whole thing but he was still staying completely under the shade. I moved back a couple steps to tell him what I'd seen, and managed to convince him to go look again with me. Now the trails being left by the incoming things were straight, and it seemed like they were coming almost right at us. Then we realized they were and we ducked back under the shade as one of them landed maybe a few yards away on the grass and bounced a couple of times (dream logic fail), still heading for me particularly.

I fell down backwards and landed sitting just before the thing stopped right next to me. I was quite a bit surprised, but since it was there I touched it. It looked like a chunk of ice maybe the size of a loaf of bread at most and felt smooth and slightly warm. Then I made a joke to the black guy, something along the lines of, "Well, if it's got a space virus on it, I've got it now," as I rubbed the fingers together that had touched the thing.

There was some kind of low booming vibration noise now, and I went to look more to the right of the shaded area (though we were still under it) with the black guy. We could now see that we'd missed the impact of a huge meteorite far off in the distance in some mountains. The smoke cloud now rising from that area made it hard to see exactly what was going on, but it almost looked like the meteorite was as big as the smoke cloud was round, which would make it several miles in diameter.

Then our attention was drawn back to the water, where we'd missed yet another hit very much closer, and oddly enough it didn't seem to be making noise like expected. The strike had landed in the water about twenty yards from the end of the dock. Again there was the impression that the meteorite was as big as the smoke cloud rising from it, and the smoke and water seemed to be boiling with the meteorite only partly submerged. Then the smoke cleared like dramatic cinematography special effects to reveal a large black sphere with an oily, shiny surface.

The black dude had enough and ran for the doors, but I walked towards the sphere instead and remember saying out loud, "I've seen this somewhere before..." almost like a suppressed memory was trying to get through. The guy was yelling at me but I was half-entranced by the thing. Then an invisible, powerful force pulled me off the dock and through the air towards the sphere as if I were nothing. I knew it was the sphere doing this, and that it was intelligent.

I had a sense that I was in danger, but was still fairly mesmerized by the sphere. I held my hands out to it like I wanted to touch it, and it seemed like it was looking at me somehow even if the surface didn't change. It had me slowly circling it towards the side away from the building, and then suddenly it moved me faster so I was behind it and out of sight of the others. Part of the sphere's side started shifting and stretching and making a hollow area in its side and then I was sucked into it. The stuff closed around me and I realized I couldn't move, or breathe, and there was no light at all.

The next thing I remember, I must have "woken up" from blacking out or something because I found myself in what looked like underground interconnecting rooms of a city building somewhere. There were a lot of exposed pipes and concrete walls, floor, and ceiling. A guy was there, white this time and probably in his 40's, he seemed like military or ex-military and was dressed in casual clothing. He told me his resistance group had saved me from the sphere, as they already knew somehow that even with all things the alien spheres were immune to, they could be defeated with soda pop.

He said they'd cleared a lot of it out of my system but that there was still some there. I discovered this was true while trying to clear my throat, and coughed up nasty black stuff onto the floor. The guy had a can of pop and used some of it on the black stuff to make sure it was dead (I don't really remember what it did). I think he said that I could eat something to regain strength, but that their doctor wanted me to drink a bunch of soda sometime soon and get the rest of the junk cleared out (which would mean throwing up a lot ^^; ). I decided to go find the doctor and get it done sooner than later.

Then I woke up.

tirsdendreams: (unknown danger)
I'm already forgetting a lot of this, but it started somewhere in trying to find a movie theater I was supposed to be going to with my randomly dream created friends. I'd gotten separated from them and was trying to find them again in an area like an outdoor shopping mall. It was starting to get dark as I neared the movie theater itself, and then something huge and flaming crashed down from out of the sky. Logic didn''t handle this very well, I'm not exactly sure where the thing landed but I do know it killed a lot of people in the shopping area. Also it seemed this death-from-space was a preliminary attack for aliens invading, but the dream plot didn't really do anything with that detail and I never saw the aliens (as if they stayed in orbit waiting).

I survived, and saw that the people who were left seemed to be turning into zombies. Some of them actually looked like zombies while others were normal looking people acting all "Braaaains"-ish without actually going far enough into cheesy horror tropes to say that. They also didn't talk, whereas the few non-zombie survivors were pretty much screaming their heads off (and making nice targets for getting eaten with all that noise).

Some of the dream seemed to happen out of order, and I also woke up in the middle of it and went back to sleep, straight into the same dream though it seemed to have backed up some. I am fairly sure that before I woke up the first time, I and a couple of guys who were possible military types managed to secure an old mansion and created a home base in the basement. There was a radio broadcast that helped me find them, one that was dangerous to produce but they did it every day just in case there were more survivors. It would also seem that the meteorite and zombie infection thing was more widespread than just our area.

There was also a kid who was maybe fifteenish at the most who had holed up in his family's van down by the beach, and had no idea anyone had survived that was not a zombie. I had his point of view for a little bit. There was a character who was basically Hurley from ABC's Lost who drove around looking for survivors during the daytime, and missed the kid because he hid thinking everyone was dangerous.

Meanwhile, one of the military-esque guys and I were going to go do the daily radio broadcast and I think that was the point where I woke up. Back to sleep again, and the plot had returned to previous to actually gaining the house stronghold (which sucked, that was a nice place and had taken some work). So we had to do that again, and it was noticeable now that there was nobody around on the surface during the day. Apparently the zombies didn't like sun (heh my subconscious was ripping off I Am Legend and this logic-broken version is still better than that POS Will Smith movie xP ).

We were trying to actually locate the mansion, a lot of the city and surrounding town was wrecked and a mess and we were still careful of zombies whether there were any showing or not. We ended up underground for some reason, I think raiding a weapons stash the guy with me knew was there, and we found a zombie lady who didn't actually try and kill us. She could talk, and I think we might have asked her if there was any way she could help us, if she wanted to, maybe like by spying on the zombies or something. She wasn't really sure what she could do but she wandered off to try.

My point of view switched to Hurley who was back out at the beach a second time, and he saw the kid who tried to run away. But Hurley convinced him via the usual overly-honest humor that he wasn't a zombie and told him about the rest of us and the hideout we were going to make, and that it was going to be much safer there. So the kid hopped in whatever vehicle it was Hurley had and they drove off.

Then I woke up.

tirsdendreams: (leave it all behind)
I thought I woke up from a previous dream, and hadn't opened my eyes. It only took me a moment to realize someone was sleeping with me, and I was very tangled up with them. It seemed to be a guy, in a rather unfamiliar build, kinda in-shape if not completely on the slender end. The background from the dream was merging with what would be reality for me if I had woken up, and some part of my brain wondered if someone from the dream-life had gotten drunk and crawled into bed with me, and I just hadn't registered that there was anything particularly wrong with it. Until now.

I was also realizing at this point, that it was a dream. And I was kinda thinking I didn't want to wake up from it. I had enough of a vague idea of "life" in the dream to know things were vastly different from real life, and some the positive things from real life weren't managing to register in the dream. Meanwhile, my bed partner woke up and it turned out to be none other than Geordi La Forge. I'm not kidding. I have no idea why my subconscious picked this particular individual, but there he was, and apparently he was my boyfriend. He said good morning to me and started getting up and dressed like this was perfectly normal. Meanwhile I knew it was a dream, and yet I also half-knew that the background for this dream was a fairytale life sort of thing. My room was definitely not my real-life room, I knew I was rich and that my family was rich, and I was dating somebody from the starship Enterprise. (Logic? Who needs logic. Yeah this was a modern day setting, minus the blind guy with the visor that lets him see.)

I forget exactly what I said but I did tell him I was dreaming, and that I was afraid I was going to wake up. I didn't want him to leave, fearing that I wouldn't make it through the day to see him again, and he was such a nice guy. But in this dream he had a life and a job and needed to get on with it, and seemed very confident and positive that I would make it to the end of the day to see him again. I was still in bed and he started poking around me in the sheets trying to find something he'd lost, and finally did find it. It was his communicator, which he started talking into as if it were a cell phone (not the just "stick it to your shirt and talk" version). He was checking in with the ship or something, then said goodbye to me and left. He didn't beam up or anything, he just walked out the door.

So there I was still in bed. Being as I usually have trouble (more trouble than this) holding onto a dream once I become lucid, I had a feeling that getting out of bed would lose the dream. I did actually manage to get out of bed and dressed in a nice party dress; I think I actually looked a bit different in the dream, blonde curly hair in ringlets sorta and girly-pretty. I decided to leave my room and try to see what the rest of this fairy-tale life was like, and all I'm going to say here because of who was there was that it was like my subconscious was trying to redefine a broken past and make everything different and very much better. That those people were in the dream at all sucked though, wish my subconscious had substituted in some other fictional characters. I started to lose track of the fact that it was a dream, and eventually...

...I woke up. Without seeing Geordi again. Aww.

I'm not exactly sure how this one started, but there was a problem inside the ground floor of a building in an area that was something like a college campus or possibly a government or business plaza with the same sort of feel to it. I remember as the plot moved along elsewhere (the plot that I can't remember now, guh), I saw the Tardis appear somewhere out of the way, like a cut-to shot in a TV show.

The problem was in a specific room in this building, and outside of the room was a hallway and small lobby with the main doors to the outside. The Doctor (10th, as in Hot Scottish Doctor) and Rose went into the room to try and fix it while I stayed out in the lobby. Whatever they were trying to do to fix it apparently made things much worse, and suddenly they came running out of the room. A few moments later a large black sphere that was growing from the central point of the "problem" began to show through the walls of the room.

It was some kind of black hole, except without the gravitational pull and anything that it touched simply ceased to exist wherever it fell into that space. And since the thing was growing steadily larger, that was going to be an issue especially as it seemed this growth wouldn't stop possibly ever. At this point, dream logic started substituting the wrong people in for the Doctor but we'll just keep calling him that and move on.

Dream logic also shortly failed by putting the singularity out in the lobby as if it had always been there, and it was now about a foot shorter than an average person, and floating just above the floor. Due to the fact that running away was just delaying the inevitable (which didn't stop most people who knew about it), I stood on the far side of the thing from the Doctor as we tried to puzzle out some way to stop it. He finally said something to the effect of, "Oh, whatever," and smacked it with his hand.

This worked. His hand didn't disappear forever into it, instead deflating the part he hit as if it were a big balloon whose surface gave to pressure, like rising dough. So we both set about smacking the thing to diminish its size, and this continued to work until it was so small it fit in a ziplock sandwich bag (which, yes, somehow decided to materialize in the dream). It was breaking up into tiny bits at this point, and it looked like teeny grains of black, round sand.

I was the only one doing anything to it right now, as shaking the bag continued to shrink the stuff. But I decided to stop for a moment and we watched it to see if it would stay like that. The tiny spheres started growing again and I felt one bite into the skin of my finger where it was under the bag. Well so much for that, I went back to jiggling the things into nonexistence. And thus they were gone, to jubilations from the froofy-haired Doctor.

Then I woke up.

This was I think part of a longer dream involving sightseeing or the like, but all I remember now is finding a very large sculpture that was meant to be a puzzle by the artist. You could climb on it, and supposedly there was some sort of epiphany you could get for reaching the top... and very few people got up there.

The thing was a lot of square shapes either clumped together or square hollows in the sides and also some wrought-iron sections (sort of like gates but made to fit into spaces in the sculpture) that were sometimes floor surfaces and sometimes pseudo-walls. The non-iron part of the sculpture was orange fiberglass-type material and very sturdy, and smooth.

It took a little bit of conquering fear of heights and finding the confidence to get up to the top, and when I got up there I wasn't sure what the self-discovery part was supposed to be. I think I might have realized it was the journey up and the whole having to conquer fears to reach the top, as opposed to actually getting up there. Then it felt like the thing shook a little, and I realized it wasn't as sturdy as it looked and some moronic kid or something was down somewhere in the bottom thinking he was hilarious for kicking the thing. The sculpture did at least seem to be stable enough to just shake a little, but it was rather disconcerting all the same.

Then I woke up.

tirsdendreams: (unknown danger)
The first part involved being an intern student somewhere very cold, possibly the Arctic but an actual place never came up. I think I was a bit younger, maybe early 20's, and my personality seemed a bit "please everyone" sheepy and also a bit timid. I remember having blonde ringlets too.

I was staying in the science complex wherever this was, and I think we were supposed to go out and do some research that day but it was too blizzardy so it was called off for the day. Then I realized that two of the guys on the team had stubbornly headed off to try anyways. There was a break in the weather and the team leader was worried about them so he said he was going to go find them and I went with him.

Somewhere in the process of getting up this very slippery hillside-mountain (dream logic was failing on this climb so bad) the team leader became Indiana Jones. When we got to the top, there was a continuation of mountains and hills and open grassy spaces and we were confused because there seemed to be no snow or ice at all! I think we found at least one of the guys we were looking for, and as we were puzzling over the scenery he said, "No, look, there's still some snow over here!" and went to pat the ground on a very steep, grassy slope. There was a few little tiny (and I mean a few inches across) remnants of snow there, and under the grass the ground did seem very solid, like it was frozen.

Then some odd scientist guy showed up and said something about how a corporation had claimed this land and they were going to use it for whatever they saw fit. He claimed it was dead land and nothing could grow properly anymore. I saw a little wildflower a ways off and tried to point it out to Dr. Jones and he nodded surruptitiously and I knew I was supposed to go get it. As I went to go pick it, I realized the more flowers I found the more I could prove the corporate guy was lying.

Thus ensued a logic-busting scavenger hunt for flowers. I found various wildflowers in all sorts of colors (I remember purple and yellow the most), even something like cherry blossoms on trees, and some more garden-like flowers, some of which seemed to be dying as if they'd come up too early and gotten caught by frost, but I got some of them too. Someone was following me, a goon from the corporate guy's people, and before much longer I had to run back and show Dr. Jones the flowers before the bad guy(s) stopped me.

Dr. Jones presented the evidence and the jig looked like it was up, and I remember this scene seeming a lot more alive around us as far as nature went, almost like the area itself was fighting back while we were arguing with the corporate guy.

Then I woke up.

I'm forgetting a lot of this already, but I think it started out something like an episode of M*A*S*H (which if you don't know, is an army medical drama/comedy set in the Korean War), with Hawkeye Pierce and possibly BJ, I forget who else; there were four of us total. I was I think some sort of military type person, no clue what my position was supposed to be. We were going down a corridor of some sort and something weird happened, I forget what exactly but possibly like an earthquake, lights going nuts, etc. When that calmed down we were like, "Man we better get out of here!" so we kept going down the hall and through a little door to the right. This opened up into what looked like a large empty storage room or garage, and on one side there were windows.

I knew something was wrong already as there were just stars outside the windows, and as I went closer I saw a a galaxy waaaay off in the distance. We were in outer space! Awed, and quite confused as well. Then we saw a planet come into view below, and as the apparent-ship started shaking we realized it was going to be going down through the atmosphere and landing. We managed to grab some straps or something along the wall and waited for the bumpy ride to end.

This part is fuzzy but I think we got off the ship without anyone noticing (possibly the window area was like doors and they were opened without anybody realizing we were there). The ship had landed in water, and reminded me very much of US navy ships. There were docks around and it was sort of a nice, airy public travel terminal if the focus was space ships and water.

I started asking random people questions, things about what society was like and hypotheticals and I seemed to be disturbing some of them. From what I could tell, the US Navy had taken over the government at some point and we were far in the future. I think someone even told me what year it was when I asked, but I don't remember what it was now. Questions didn't seem appreciated much to begin with, and obviously the subject matter (which seemed benign to me) was not almost like, not something anyone should talk about.

Some guards arrived and it seemed we'd been discovered. I remember the guards standing really stiffly. There was some other person with them, more of a doctor-type, I think he even had a white lab coat. The next thing I remember is that we had been placed in a series of rooms that had classrooms and bunkrooms and stuff, and there were other people around who didn't belong in that time period (they seemed to be all from ours or maybe a little later). We were learning more about the way things worked now and I think the people in charge weren't all that sure what to do with us.

Then I woke up.

I don't remember most of this dream, but I do remember part where I was in a hilly area with a lot of grass and a few trees here and there. It was daylight, and the dream was presented half from the point of view that I was a real person and half from a video game graphic user interface.

I was standing in an open grassy area talking to someone who I think was supposed to be with me for whatever it was we were doing. I then received some kind of update through the interface POV that showed where we needed to go on the game map next. The target spot was up on a hill that had a steep, rocky rise closest to us and would require walking around to find the grassy slope up.

I decided it was shorter to just climb up the cliff, but the guy behind me wasn't so sure. I was almost able to go over the top of the cliff and then it was like running into an invisible wall (typical video game exploration problem). Apparently it was supposed to be truly impossible to shortcut over the cliff.

I kept pushing it, trying to reach further over the cliff, and then my hand got really hard to move. I tried pulling it out of whatever it was stuck in (the edge of the game, yay dream logic) and that didn't work so well, though I could drag it along the forbidden edge there a bit and get it closer to me. Mind you, this hurt but I finally got my hand unstuck and backed away from the level edge.

I don't remember the rest.

(The roleplay characters in question were two initial concepts I had daydreamed up and Zombie-kun now plays Dimitri while I play Ian. Dimitri is somewhere in his 20's and takes care of Ian who is 13-14, and they are escaping 1920's Russia as the older one works to afford transportation and whatnot. Ian has amnesia from a terrible event that Dimitri rescued him from, and trusts Dimitri implicitly; they had not met before that incident. It's a really sweet story in the making ^_^ but anyways, those are the two characters.)

It was almost like some kind of fantasy world and Dimitri/Ian's story combined together to form the dream setting. Dimitri and Ian were in this odd observation room, and the monitors showed views outside of a yellow-orange wind-smoothed limestone hillside, especially one part that was a more flat vertical surface. There were giant yellow ants all around, a little taller than a tall person, though pretty soon they went into a hidden door in that flat part of the hill.

Dimitri for some reason wanted to go talk to the ants for help and told Ian to stay in the room. At this point I became Ian and watched on the monitors as Dimitri tried knocking on the hidden door and was let inside.

I realized that even though Dimitri had left me behind to stay safe, I didn't feel safe anywhere other than with him, and even if something bad was about to happen to Dimitri (had a bad feeling about that) I didn't care, I was going to go be with him. So I was headed off to find the secret door... and as logic failed completely I think I did get reunited with him, and my presence might actually have been helping the situation with the ants (like they didn't believe Dimitri was taking care of someone else like he said he was).

Then I woke up.

tirsdendreams: (redefinition of me)
At first I was myself trying to do driving errands in the daytime before a really bad storm hit... running around Home Depot and not finding what I was looking for, then realizing what I wanted wouldn't even be in a Home Depot (and I don't remember now what it was I wanted). Weirdly enough by the time I was leaving I was in a wheelchair (one of the store ones). I remember knowing I didn't need it, but I was trying to pretend that I did. Once I was outside (and walking) again, I couldn't find the vehicle I'd been using.

Logic was already failing so badly by now, but it completely merged into a whole new thought. It was evening now, and dark out. Somewhere in this area was a large building used for meeting spaces and such. The story plot changed completely to being a Denzel Washington movie type idea, except it was real and I was his wife (and I was black too). We were there at the meeting place because he'd landed this big promotion or job or something he was so excited about, but when he went in to talk to the big wigs he came back all freaked out and stressed to the max.

The bigwigs had come back with him to continue the discussion though it sort of seemed like things had at least already been partly decided. It turns out that there for some reason was no proof that he was the father of my two kids (yesh we had kids says the dream logic XDD;; ) and we like always considered them formally adopted but now it was like he'd have to pay the company a bunch of money for them, to be on his health insurance and whatnot. I could tell how upset he was and it was like they'd pretty much succeeded in convincing him this was necessary, and I never got a figure for what they were asking for the kids but it must have been outrageous (and we were already a well-to-do family).

I got up and took my husband by the arm and said we were leaving. Outside I told him that the job wasn't worth it and WTF did they think they were doing? He was kinda agreeing, as if he were coming out of some kind of fog their manipulations had placed him under, and I had a feeling I'd pulled him out of a really bad situation.

Then logic failed completely and I don't remember any more of this sequence.

The first dream was rather long and I barely remember any of it, but it involved zombies who passed on their disease by biting. They could also make zombies out of animals, and although the animal bites didn't make the disease contagious to a person, they were vicious and obviously getting any sort of injury doesn't help one's cause in staying un-zombified. For part of the dream I was indoors and I think underground, which was bad because zombies did better in the dark. The end of it had me and a guy who would be like the main or almost-main character in a movie (if I were the main) outside in the sunlight, with some kind of supposedly-protective circle of branches around us.

The circle was probably a good thirty or forty feet wide, so there was a good amount of room to move, and I think there was only one zombie beyond the circle at the moment but there were a lot more animals. I remember specifically a squirrel or two, and one of them managed to get into the circle and bite me on the back of my right hand (OW yes it definitely very much hurt). There was a third guy with us I think, and I was yelling at him that this circle thing wasn't keeping the bad crap out like it was supposed to and realized right around then that he'd been zombified just now. The whole thing was going to hell and I'm not really sure how it ended, but I woke up really scared and realized it had been the first nightmare of that type I'd had in quite a while (the typical scary-nightmare or horror-movie inspired thing). I was disappointed I'd gone through the whole thing without realizing it was a dream, because if I had, I could have woken myself up.

Well, I went back to sleep because I was way too tired to get up. I went almost immediately back to dreaming. I was in my (randomly dream-created) house, with my (randomly dream-created) boyfriend and family, and it was night time. I was afraid the zombies would attack, as if part of the old dream had carried on to this new dream. Suddenly my boyfriend revealed that he was one, and I ran out of the house. I remember very little of this dream and I wish I could because I'm pretty sure it was epic-scale. I eventually met up with a slightly overweight middle-age lady with a kindly face and medium-length, kinda-curly brown hair. She knew who I was, and told me that I was very important to stopping the evil.

I think I was telling her about what had happened so far, and as I was going over the beginning, the dream sort of flowed into my narrative and thus ended and started to repeat. This time I was back in my house at night where I'd started (though the house had changed) and my boyfriend was there again with my family. I think I was telling them about the first dream, as if I'd just had it or something, and I told them we needed to lock the doors and windows to make sure the zombies didn't get in because I didn't think it was just a dream. Then one of the zombies I recognized came to the front door, I could see him, and as I was freaking out I began to realize my family and boyfriend were all zombies and they were saying something like "she's not ready yet."

I'm not sure what happened to the zombie outside (I think they let him in) but he wasn't out there anymore and I ran outside to get away from them all. I ran left along the sidewalk and I remember thinking it was important I stay under the stars. I looked up and saw what looked like a yellow glow-in-the-dark sword-shaped mouse pointer in the sky pointing to a specific star, so I ran that direction (which was sort of the way I was already going, to my right a little but for the moment I was staying on the sidewalk instead of crossing the street).

An expensive black luxury sedan that I think was a BMW suddenly seemed to be swerving at me or chasing me, so I had to change directions. I silently begged the sky for more help and saw the sword was now on a star further to my left now and right on the horizon, leading me onto grass to my left that dipped down a hill and into some forest and stuff. I was still near the top of the hill as the car stopped and two black people got out, a guy and a girl, dressed nicely and I remember the guy had very short hair.

They asked me what the heck my problem was, and I forget what reason they were actually there but I begged them for a ride. They asked me where I wanted to go and I forget where I said (San Paulo?) and they were cool with that. So I got in the back seat of the car which was now for some reason a convertible, and I had a pillow in my arms when we drove right back past my house so I hugged it and looked away from the house hoping they wouldn't recognize me but at this point I knew I had red hair and I had a bad feeling they would... but we weren't chased immediately. There didn't seem to be anybody at all outside the house as I peeked back at it when we'd gone past.

The couple said they had to make a stop, which was uncomfortably only a few blocks from my house up a side street, but I had barely started telling them about the zombies and I don't think they believed me. The lady they met was going to give them some food they'd ordered, I think they'd found her through some kind of internet service. It was the lady who I had met in the first dream, the one who said I was important, but all I knew now was that she was somehow important, I just couldn't remember why. We were all out of the car as she gave the people their food, and then asked me, "Do I know you from somewhere?"

I answered something about not being sure, and she asked me what my name was. I said, "Shane..." and then it was like it was really hard to remember my last name, it was like I knew the one I had was wrong, and that there was another name I was supposed to be known by. So finally I got it out, "...Dawson" (ahahaha my brain must be taking inspiration from YouTube, even if I have wanted the name Shane for years before running across Shane Dawson). She was sort of looking at me a little funny, like she might be figuring something out, but the other people were saying we had to go now so I left with them.

A few blocks later we suddenly got rammed from behind by another car (and now our car was back to being a sedan). The guy driving finally believed about the zombies, and was wondering how they'd found us so fast. There was some dream illogic behind my response ("They're editing the video!" as if there had been video footage of us going by, and access to fully processed video feed for editing meant they... somehow had all the information they needed) and now it was a car chase.

As if this were a bad Ed Wood movie, we found ourselves in heavy city traffic in broad daylight a few moments later. The zombie car was still too close behind and now they had a large, odd tractor thing on their side as well. I kept telling the driver he needed a wide open road, this kind of car should be able to go really fast and this was totally the wrong area to try and escape in. The girlfriend of the guy agreed with me, and even suggested it might be better if I took a cab instead as those guys could drive fast.

I think we heard on the radio or something that there was an actual ghostbusting service being advertised. I asked the people if they knew about that, they didn't really but the girl drug out a phone book and handed it to me, it was supposed to be the White Pages or something, and she apologized saying it might be harder to find in there. She also gave me her cell phone to borrow, and I dialed 911 while I was looking through the book trying to figure out what the heck section ghostbusting would be under. The operator wasn't honestly sure she believed what I was trying to tell her about the zombies and all, and was fairly sure she couldn't help me. The last thing I asked her was if she had any guesses as to where the ghostbusting number would be, and she said to try the services section. Conveniently, there was such a section, and it wasn't huge.

In that section of the phone book (which was difficult to read because reading is often difficult in dreams), I finally found a page with spiritual services, a lot of occult-related stuff though too much of it seemed like it was places that just sold stuff and had fun-houses and maybe palm readings or fortune tellers if lucky. Still, that had potential and an ad I saw for a place was one I wanted to go to but wasn't sure how to get there, and was about to mention it. The girl suddenly tried handing me a very slim "phone book" that she said was the Yellow Pages with a warm, triumphant smile like it was way more what I needed... but I still wanted to go to the place where the ad was and was about to ask again.

I noticed the shops in the area we were in were a lot like the section of the phone book I'd been looking in. Then the guy said something like, "What about this place?" and suddenly he was pulled over right by that one shop I'd seen the ad for, and in the window there was a sign for "Horror House" though the windows hadn't been cleaned in a while and the whole neighborhood looked really dumpy.

Well, it was the place I wanted to go and we were sitting ducks with the zombies still too close though it seems like we'd temporarily lost them. I said sure I'd go in and begged them to please stay and wait for me in case I had to run out fast again. I grabbed Teddy (my actual teddy bear) who for some reason was in the car as if he'd been with me the whole time, but I left my purse with them as if it was somehow safer to do so (??) and also left the door open even with the zombie threat because I was that worried I'd have to run right back into the car. Also, right around this time there was another person in the back seat of the car, an Asian young lady who the dream plot just sort of threw in like she'd always been there was well.

When outside the store before this conversation, I'd seen some of the employees through the window. Now as I went into the store, the layout changed (baaad dream logic, bad) and also I no longer remember having Teddy (baaad dream edit? lol). I sort of recognized the employees (a guy and a girl in toned-down punky haircuts and stuff) and well it was the same kind of store so I just went with it. I walked past the main customers and those two employees, feeling that the help I wanted wasn't in that area, and I would know the right kind of person when I saw them... if they were there at all.

I saw a lady behind a different counter, she was older and I think she had longish light-colored hair. I could see in her eyes that she held wisdom and knowledge of the sort I was looking for, or something very close to it, so I walked up to her and said I needed help. I forget exactly how I phrased it, possibly being under attack from darkness I was afraid to talk about in public, but at the end I said, "and I'm not looking for help from 'god'" and I even used air quotes.

She nodded, seeming to understand, and then I realized she had totally vanished while I'd... stood there staring for a moment? The Asian girl from the car was now with me (she'd come to check on me I think) and I said, "Wow, she's good." I knew the older lady was going to either talk to someone before talking to me again, or was fetching someone else... possibly because she'd told me. I forget.

It was only a moment or two later that a short, elderly Asian woman walked out from a back room and guided me to go sit nearby with her on a sort of round booth-like seat without a table. I sat down with her and the other girl who was with me, and started telling her about the zombies. I really don't remember what all I said, but this all seemed to make sense to her and she was saying something back to me, I'm not sure what, but as she did so her eyes started looking past me. I looked behind me, back the way I had come, and the area there was totally obscured by almost living darkness.

The old lady got up yelling some kind of curse or something at it (I forget, words of banishment probably) and stretched out her hand. From it came a yellow-white stream of magic with a thick orange-red cord through the middle of it, and it made a long line as it struck into the darkness. A male voice said something from inside the darkness, I don't remember what it was but probably something about the futility of her standing against him. Then I could see a man in the darkness there, and I knew it was one of the zombies, but now it was like I also knew they were actually vampires. Could be that was part of the dialogue, I wish I could remember it better.

The man countered the magic with his own power (which I don't remember what it looked like), and the lady shriveled up and fell backwards, dead. The other girl by me tried to get in his way as well and I think she also either died or got zapped into unconsciousness. Then I was on the floor as well, passing out because he'd hit me with some of that power next, and as everything went dark I heard the voice of Vampire Hunter D asking a very short question. Sadly, I can't remember the question now, though I do believe it had to do with asking where I had vanished to. I realized that perhaps I had disappeared off the floor completely, perhaps with my female friend too, and maybe the lady who I had seen in the previous dream had done it? Perhaps all hope was not yet lost?

But I wouldn't find out, because then I woke up.

I remember that too, not just that I was intending not to pay for the paper-thing(s), but that I don't think I was supposed to be able to print them at all. some kind of secret project or protected old documents or LIKE LOGIC WAS EVEN TRYING!?]
tirsden: but yeah I was like thinking "oh right all the footage I've seen of this stuff on YouTube lately shows how idiots don't even think of the security cameras" so between me and the other two guys (I was a guy at least XD whoo!) we were spraying stuff at the cameras from odd angles (....after we'd wandered around this store during business hours)
tirsden: I think we had some odd cross between silly string and soda foam to do this with (WHUT LOGIC!? no need logic)
tirsden: well, we got separated and I ended up on one side of this multi-level parking lot (ground level) and the other two I could hear being chased by cops and arrested and stuff
tirsden: and I had the paper thing we stole
tirsden: and I was like o.o "they never noticed me HAH walkwalkwalkwalkwalkFASTwalkwalk"
tirsden: I think I got in my car or... something... or got a ride, that bit was... losing logic worse... and I was actually getting away, because it was like nobody even realized I had anything to do with it O_o;;
tirsden: and then I woke up
tirsden: and said "WTF" xD;; but anyways
tirsdendreams: (unknown danger)
(This dream happened on December 2nd but I didn't get around to posting it till today. It's very much inspired by the TV show Fringe.)

This started out with three of the Observers (odd almost FBI-agent or G-men looking characters from Fringe) coming up to a guy sitting by an indoor swimming pool. The guy was in a reclining plastic chair, and one of the Observers touched him and he started dissolving into the air as he screamed. The dissolving seemed contagious, spreading first to the Observer who had made the initial touch and then to the other two as well. All of the dust-like stuff dissolving away into the air fused into an odd big floating white thing that reminded me of a parade balloon gone wrong.

The scene changed, and it was outdoors now, a big college campus type place with lots of grass. I was standing in a park-like area there, and I knew Earth was getting taken over by aliens or whatever the inhabitants of the "other dimension" were. There was something odd happening to the sky, it was filled with dark clouds in odd colors like red and purple (I think, sooo much if this wasn't in my notes). I was with a girl who was my friend, I think just someone random created by the dream.

Suddenly, most of the other people who had been standing around the campus turned into other people who were wearing preppy-ish white t-shirts with green and blue sporty stripes on the sleeves and the bottom hem. There might have been some kind of logo on the shirt but I don't remember now. A few people hadn't been "converted" and were running screaming while these other people seemed to just be moving very slowly and seemed a bit out of it. Possibly the transition had an effect on them and they weren't up to speed yet. Either way, I could tell they were quite evil.

My friend was freaking out but I grabbed her arm and decided to run towards the side of a building that was near the edge of where the land went down to meet a big body of water. That route seemed more promising for surviving this for longer (it really felt like doom was imminent). Maybe we could find some kind of sewer outlet to escape into. As I ran, I noticed the girl become less responsive, and looked over and it was a different girl in one of those creepy t-shirts.

I let go of her and kept running, she stopped as it was my speed that had kept her going that fast. I passed some more of the creepy people who did at least still seem out of it, then I was running along the side of the building near the water. I could see an odd, huge floating alien-squid thing in the sky in the distance, and had this odd feeling that I knew if it went from where it was (kind of ahead of me) to the far right side of the sky before I could get out from under open sky, it would somehow kill me.

I could see an inlet up ahead and it looked like the sort of thing that would have a drainage pipe. I could also hear barking dogs there though as I got closer, and decided that was probably not a safe idea. The dogs looked sort of wild and quite angry. I backtracked and ran across a creepy girl but managed to lose her. I was trying to find some way into the side of the building.

There were no doors, but on closer inspection of part of the wall I realized the bricks were loose there. Pulling them out I saw there was a hole I could get into, and at first I intended to try and rebuild the wall quickly behind me but logic was failing badly and it became apparent I couldn't block it properly again. So I just went into the crawlspace I found, that opened into a bigger storage area.

There were skylight-windows in this area, and as I crept around in the more protected areas I saw some creepy butterfly-bug-alien thing fluttering around outside. I tried at first to block off some of the visibility to outside by spraying foaming bug spray on the windows, but that failed and was wasting too much time. I heard something make noise back the way I had come from, and my imagination showed me an almost xenomorph type alien (from the Alien movie series).

I found another crawl space on the far side of the storage area and tried to hide or find a way further. I realized underneath me the flooring seemed very weak, and messing with it proved I was actually in a ceiling above a wide empty space below. I decided to go through it and I vaguely remember finding a way to lower myself into the big room below. It was an auditorium for a theater type room.

I really don't remember enough of the rest to make sense of it and logic pretty much gave up at this point anyways. Eventually I woke up.
