I was with some people beside a big lake (it miiight have been the ocean but it doesn't seem right for that). We were right by the water but it seems like we weren't in it. One guy went into the water just a little and this huge fish came along and dragged him under the water. The lake became very deep very quickly, and as I jumped in to swim after the guy I was worried the fish would take him too far down too fast and I wouldn't be able to hold my breath long enough. Or that I'd be too late and he'd drown at that depth. I was also worried about the water pressure down there.
I didn't seem to have problems with lack of air or swimming ability even though the fish took him pretty far down. I grabbed the guy and kicked the fish, which spun away for the moment. As I swam towards the surface I was very afraid the fish would attack again, I figured it was swimming towards me at that very moment. But I got to the surface and that precious air, and then closer and closer to the shore and before I knew it I was out of the water with the guy and safe from the evil fish.
The people on the shore crowded around congratulating me on my brave effort. The guy seemed to be alright and everyone asked me how I'd done it. I started telling them the story and I was concentrating so hard on the details in my memory (to be sure I got everything right) that the dream started repeating itself. I was very annoyed at this because the whole thing had been rather difficult and now I had to do it all over. I remember getting back in the water to go save the guy again.
Then I woke up.
