A note to readers

This is not a dream post. This is just a note on some things related to my dream posts. I will be adding it to Memories so it is easy to find, and in theory, this will be the only post there. I'll edit this post if I think of more stuff. I really don't want to post anything but dreams on this journal, so in theory this will be the only maintenance/explanatory type post. In theory. And I've said that three times now.

1. I've lost interest in posting a dream symbol analysis for most dreams. If I find it important to do so, I will. I've also stopped posting my thoughts about the dream most of the time. This is either because I have no specific thoughts to post, or I'm too tired to care.
2. If I indicate "(rest don't apply)" after a dream symbol entry, it doesn't mean that I think all the interpretations listed could apply, it simply means that whatever I cut out really, really, really doesn't apply. And if I've left an interpretation that looks really off, sometimes I find the other interpretations of dream symbols to be so interesting I don't want to leave it out, even if I think it has nothing to do with the dream.
3. With the addition of "tags" to the LiveJournal posting options, I now have all dreams tagged with their major dream symbols. This means if you click a dream symbol in the tag list, my entire dream journal will reload and show only the dreams that share that symbol. Non-dream posts can be found under the admin tag. Note: Sometimes I list more symbols in the tags than I look up for the dream symbol analysis, if I do one at all.
4. My dreams often have built-in pasts or memories of things that I think have happened before while in the dream, but after I wake up I realize those memories weren't real. Sometimes I reference the "built-in past" in a dream without really explaining what I mean. So now you know. To put it another way, it would be like playing a video game or watching a movie starring a character who has a past that is different from your own, and while you are interacting with or watching the character, you have those person's memories in your head as if they are yours.
5. My sources for dream-related sites at this time are SoulFuture Dream Dictionary and Dream Moods Dream Dictionary. I don't like the second one because of popups, so I rarely use it.
Random observations:
~ I come across the dream symbol for the 7th Chakra a lot, specifically the color white. In fact as of the 19th of December, 2008, just under half of the dreams I have posted here have the color white in them. Back in summer of 2005, it was one-quarter of the dreams... so it would appear that color reference is increasing in frequency. Perhaps I simply notice it more than other colors because white is a very easy color to remember. The symbol interpretation is: violet, top of head, thought, spiritual connection, understanding, knowing, bliss, God. As to that last interpretation, I do not believe in the typical "God" concept... hail Eris. xP I live in my head a lot, via daydreams and fantasies, so that could be one reason I see the symbol in my dreams so often. Another thought is that either my mind is flailing and trying to get some grasp of truth in a world that makes no sense... and failing... or that I'm further ahead on finding that truth than I think I am, at least in being able to come to terms with some things about myself and other people. Heh, a dream symbol with two of the possible interpretations being complete opposites. Information sources on the 7th Chakra: Nothing But Yoga, Experience Festival (beware popups), Google search "7th chakra"
